We're a family of somewhat experienced fosters but I'm not totally sure what it is I'm working with. We just picked up this very screamy newborn that was supposedly abandoned with an abdominal protrusion pictured below. It's been 12 hours and we're on a strict feeding schedule every two hours. Only twice did we get a good suck but this little one is starting to get the hang of it. Found a bit of normal looking poop without stimulation. The protrusion looks pretty inflamed and has started oozing a bit of blood by this evening. Would really appreciate some insight!

I agree. It looks like the placenta tore too close to its origin. Kitten needs antibiotics and possibly a stitch or two. Please get kitten to a vet. Stxrcane Stxrcane
