  • Grabbed a few groceries this morning and just got home. Target now has a "bouncer" again, telling people they have to wear masks or they can't come into the store. Good! We went to Target first to pick up meds for Rick, then hit Giant. We didn't see one person without a mask. Not one.
  • Must go to the garden to pick string beans, a few peppers, and tomatoes, both grapes and larger ones. I'm going to go ahead and chop and freeze whatever peppers we take. And since I didn't get the grape tomatoes in the dehydrator yesterday, I'll do them tonight for tomorrow.
  • I'm hungry for bean salad; I only make it (maybe) once every couple of years. Rick doesn't eat it often and I have to be in the mood for the stuff. Well, I'm in the mood now.
  • Scoop boxes

Kind of an odd morning
Fed cat, made him mad as I swept him up rather unexpectedly to give him his morning meds on the kitchen counter ;) now he's sitting, sulking and washing up, at the bottom of the steps in the garage lol
Fed fish, one in particular acted weird and skittish but eventually ate his breakfast
I'll maybe do some laundry later

Rick got up for his morning walk and I got up with the girls. Didn't sleep well last night; I did a lot of tossing and turning. I saw the clock hit 2:00 before I dropped off. And the girls were yelling this morning at 4:30, so that's not a lot of sleep.

Our plantation rocking chairs for the shed deck are supposed to be here today. Finally! It's only been about two months.
  • Breakfast for the girls, emptied the dishwasher, and am sitting back here with my coffee
  • I have the first of three loads of laundry in the washer
  • I put five trays of halved grape tomatoes in the dehydrator yesterday afternoon around 5:30. Just checked them and they're not dry enough yet. Changed the trays around and plugged it back in. They have a ways to go. These will be ground into powder.
  • More stewed tomatoes for the freezer this morning. I don't do much with these, a wee bit of salt, some sugar, some basil, oregano, a whole bay leaf or two. Cooked down for about an hour, then put into freezer containers, cool down, and throw in the freezer.
  • Time for corn! We're going up to the garden to check. The tassels are brown and the ears seem ready. Rick took an ear yesterday. We were surprised in that, while the ear was small, it was well-formed. We're hoping to get some nice ears anyway. I know we're going to have some with dinner tonight, if it's possible.
I chopped a ton of peppers for the freezer yesterday. Snapped a bunch of beans; the wax beans are producing better than the green beans right now. Considering how badly we've been needing rain, the garden is doing quite well overall.

Regular stuff

Cal went out for an hour this morning but was anxious to come in.

Kaylee had a family e.merg. yesterday and didn't come in. I walked
to the store...first time in a long time. So many people not wearing
masks...no wonder there are so many new cases of COVID19,
stupid people.

Hope to walk to the Farmer's Mkt. on Saturday. It's only 3 short blocks
from me but if it's too humid I won't go but I need some home grown
tomatoes! There is a booth that sells my fave, Heirloom, every year and
I so enjoy them.I tried growing them last summer but it was an epic fail.

Forgot to mention that Kaylee colored my hair!! I wanted to wait 72 hours to
wash it so the color would hold but my scalp was itching so I washed it just
now. It took me about 20 minutes to wash and condition it because it wasn't
rinsed or shampooed properly after she colored it. but it's all good now.

Molli and I lounged for a while this morning. I did awaken around 7:30 and was going to get up then, but then Molli gave a sigh and cuddled closer and, well, I woke up again around 8:30.
  • Enjoyed my coffee back here. Must scoop boxes
  • The plantation chairs did come yesterday. We put one together last night and will do the other chair today.
  • Mow the lawn/weeds
  • Weed in the garden
Mia6 Mia6 Still haven't made the salon appt for my hair! I think about it, but don't do anything.

Well, due to some t-storms that are rocking through the area, there will be no weeding or mowing the lawn this afternoon. Rick is in the shed with the rocking chairs, working on them and watching tv. I just finished vacuuming in the house and will start to swiffer. Wipe down the bathroom. All that good stuff.

And then? There's a book (or ten!) with my name on it!

Awakened at 5:30 with a headache. Got up, fed the cats, and went back to bed. Got back up around 9:30 and I feel much better. Very restless night; the last time I looked at the clock, it was 3:15. I needed the sleep.
  • I put butter in the microwave this morning to make oatmeal-raisin cookies and snickerdoodles.
  • Will put tomatoes in the dehydrator tonight
  • Put the rocking chairs out on the deck of the she shed

Finish up the laundry from yesterday

Swing by the vet office to drop off the invoice for the spay/neuter and vaccine boosters so the file will be up to date

Run out and pick up dinner later on

Winchester Winchester Still not sure what you want to do with your hair?

Now I need a cut. I may have it cut shorter, I'm kinda over the pony tail. Want of a wash and go,
My hair is very thick and it needs the bulk thinned I'll look at cuts online and see if I can find
something I like.

Regular stuff

Had a nice warm bath, knee is acting up again from the walk I had on Thursday so I
soaked in lavender scented Epsom salts, feels so good. It was very cool this morning,
all of a sudden it's hot. Will be close to 90 again tomorrow, sigh.....

Little grey tabby was here bright and early, then 2 ginger tabbies came at different times.
Grey tabby tried to keep the larger ginger from eating but then relented, darling boy.

‘Regular morning stuff
‘Dumpwashed and refilled litter box
‘Swept and vacuumed bathroom floor a couple times
‘ Completely stubbed entire bathroom
‘ dumped all trash
‘ Made chicken salad for supper

Ugh!!! Found some mold along grout in bathroom. Bad ventilation in there.

I always keep the shower curtain away from that wall.
I do not have any bleach to use on it.
mall I have is Lysol and Odoban.

I called maintenance to see if any housekeeper was in. Not unity at least 4:30pm. Not happy with this! Sent a message to head of maintenance. This needs to be dealt with. They do take care of these things. I should not have to. If it means regrothey will do it. Ugh.
Did not have this issue last summer!!!!
ugh. Not happy
This is senior housing where they handle all this stuff.

tired.
Chalk it up to 2020. The year to forget.
