I am so sorry for your loss and for having to deal with ending the suffering of a loved pet. You gave your Mc the best 19 years of life that a cat could have. Try to remember all the good times, as i am sure there were many in that amount of time. Know that there are people here who can help you, if nothing else, understand your pain and what you are going through. i'm very sorry for your loss. Hugs to you!!

Rest you gentle, MC, dream you deep. Your pawprints are on someone's heart forever.

I am so sorry for your loss, and for the living conditions which give you such grief. I would remind you that MC lived NINETEEN YEARS, which is remarkable, and a testament to your love. At some point, ALL living things must die, if only to make room for new life to come. However, love does not die, it only changes form and continues on, still Love. And Love abides, always and forever. Love abides. MC and Leo are with you still, and always will be.

I dont know what i am feeling any more, i found old photos and videos and they do make me smile and i look at recent photos as well and i feel sad, because the photos were just 1 or 2 weeks before they died. I have MCs snippet of fur in a tiny bottle and now i have my cats pictures in a photo frame near my computer, each time i look at the photos in the photo frame i feel guilty because it finalizes that they are dead and i know i should not feel guilty because i chose to send them to heaven instead of suffering, but i feel if i dont have them in that frame i feel like i will forget them. I miss them very much cause they got me through many rough times and i feel i let them down, even though i know the only way to stop their suffering was ending their life :( And i know i did all that i could do at that point. MC at the vet when i was patting her when i looked at her in the eyes, i was like she was telling me it is time and i took a video of her sitting there on the examination table and for the first time i realized how tired and old she looked, she didn't move at all, she didn't move her head she just stared through me with her head down, until i held her face in my hands and looked at her and she looked straight to my eyes, i knew she was telling me its ok to let her go , cause i asked her "do you want me to let you go ? and her face changed, she looked so young, relaxed, and she had some life in her eyes, it like she was saying "its time" , i guess maybe i didn't want to see that she was old because she was still running around, jumping and meowing and eating and drinking like she was a spring chicken 4 days earlier.

A very wise man has said more than once, "When is it time? Never on their WORST day."

For some reason I had missed this thread, I'm sorry.

Your MC was a beauty indeed, and now she's a shining star in the sky of Pets' Heaven.
MC and my Lola share the same date of death, they will share the same spot at the Bridge.

RIP MC, you will be missed :(

You needn’t worry about feeling like you will forget them. They are a part of you from now on. A part of our kitties stays with us always as we go through life. They are your escorts from now on. I’m glad you were able to look at some of the older photos with good memories. Those memories are inside you forever. A very good part of life!
