My Feral And Rescued Cats

I am sorry everyone, due probably to my haste and extreme grief I mistakenly put Butter's name on my post.
It was not Butter who passed away, but a recent kitty that i just rescued several days ago. Butter is safe and healthy in my home country with the dogs. The one that passed away I just named him Angel, because that is what he is.It is also in my other thread.

I am sorry for the confusion. Butter would probably swat me to death if he knew I dragged him into this. I don't know why I mistakenly put his name on post. Probably because I was crying a lot when I was typing it, plus all the other emotions in me.

My tears are for you. An angel flies above you and is now free and will not need my tears. You just gained another guardian that is now filled with strength and dances, lighter than air.

He is indeed an Angel. Each time I look at the catio, I remember him there, meowing for food.

Words cannot express how sorry I am for Butter and you but you were so bonded to him and visa versa that I do believe he waited for you to come home. It was fate that he found love and warmth in your arms. Thank you for rescuing him and making his last hours consoling and secure.

Please don't be so hard on yourself. This unfortunately happens.

Fly free, whole, healthy, and forever Loved, little angel Butter! Rest, precious one, in Perfect Love and Comfort, watching over your loved ones here on earth until reunited in due time.*

Fortunately Butter is safe and sound but our hearts break for little Angel. Thank you for the clarification. I'm grateful that you rescued him but very sorry for your loss.

With the advent of colder weather, I have had more company at night, but with that has come a slight problem: how to get out of bed in a hurry to answer nature's call when the blankets are weighted down by 40 pounds of cats. I awoke one night to find Stretch and Miss Eleanor curled up on one side of me, with Bashful on the other, and they are loathe to give up their positions. There have been no accidents- at least not yet, anyway, but................

Have you heard of pulley system? It is used in the mechanic's workshop to lift the engine out of the engine compartment at a slow and easy pace? This will not disturb the sleeping cats.............................................

Maria Bayote , I am so sorry for your loss. I'm so glad you found Angel even if it was just a few days ago, so he knew your love and that life was good. Losing a feral or a new cat that just started hanging around always is upsetting because I barely got to know them. Thank you for loving him.

I was looking back at pictures and decided to post some of the pictures of BJ that had not been posted before. They made me smile. He was always a cat pleaser as well as a human pleaser. It was Christmas and all the kitties had gotten new catnip mice from Santa Claws. Flowers, being wife to BJ longer than any of his other lady loves, had his attention. Flowers was feral longer than most here and still found great pleasure in anything resembling a mouse. Mice were everywhere in the cat room that day. Can a girl ever have enough mice? Lol

I have had you and all in my thoughts constantly. If you do not feel like answering now, please know that you are in our thoughts, hearts and prayers.



N NY cat man I know the feeling. I have solar powered cat warmers too. Mine start on my head though. It gives new meaning to the cat in the hat. Cat is the hat? Socks , blanket and sleeping bag. Lol Of they don’t let me out of bed, they may regret it. They know the meaning of, let me out kitties. I need my litter box. Cats begrudgingly move. Slow ,but they move. The next problem is to burrow my way back and find an opening. It’s hard to lift the blanket with a hundred pounds of cat on it but I have learned that if I flatten out, I can slide under.

tabbytom Oh! A pulley system could work! A rope at each corner of the blanket and I crawl under before lowering them.

tarasgirl06 Rinse and repeat. Lol I like the swing your legs over method but I am pinned. My method is more like the caterpillar emerging from a cocoon. I remove the cat head dress and wiggle out the top. If I inserted a small sliding board into the top, re entry would be easier. Lol

Oh, I wiggle out the top, too. But then I have had to bypass the catlane on the outside so I swing my legs over them. Fortunately our bed is a platform style so it has footrest (running board?) all the way around if needed. Since I like to drink tea at night, of course I have to get up. *I may not have "stupid" written on my forehead but I may have "lemongrass/ginger" etched there somewhere. Can't resist!* It's just like getting in and out of a sleeping bag that doesn't unzip.
