im feeding a white feral cat dont know if its male or female wont come close but it stays around knows where the foods coming from ill probly never be able to get close enough to make friends but who knows maybee someday
Y'all...I MUST get a photo of Scamper! He's got the longest legs I've ever seen outside of a Siamese! And one of his littermate has long legs in back, and short legs in front! Yep...Scramble looks like a long-tailed, short-earred bunny! I'm starting to wonder what (or who) Little Bit was up to that year!
, good to hear that your gang got through the 4th (and everyone else's for that matter). THAT many cats in panic would have been a real bear!
It sounds promising that you are able to feed the white kitty! There is a process that can be used to gain trust from a feral and feeding it is the best and first step. Do you want to get to know the kitty better? Feeding a feral is so great but if you can get it spayed or neutered that is the best way to help it to lead a much better and longer life. There are many people her who can help you if you are interested. White kitties are not that common and if it could be socialized, it would very a great candidate for adoption too. In all my rescuing and adoptions, people always asked me for a white kitty but I never rescued even one white one.
Short legs in front but long in back? Short eared bunny? Is there a part Manx around? That is the first thing that came to mind when I read that description. Long tail must have come from another gene though. Lol It sounds to me like Little Bit did a Bit of hopping around! Scramble and Scamper are darling names!
I wonder if Whistle would like a short eared bunny cat?
I had to go for cat food today. It was a terribly stormy day. I needed to be home at a certain time because we had company due from out of town so I decided to make a dash to shop. As soon as I left the house there were amazing lightning strikes. Beautiful but ..... eek! I managed to get into the store before the deluge. They say that “timing is everything.” I also got out during a lull in the storm.
I had tried to order Fancy Feast to be delivered but it was only available at the store so, off to build some muscles! Lol After the last delivery I got, that’s probably better anyway. Nothing would be tossed over the fence.
I made it home to find the storm had passed here. I haven’t unloaded it all yet but this time I only got 88 pounds of cat litter instead of 250! I also didn’t get so many cases of food that I had to ride using one as a booster seat. Hopefully my shoulder will survive the unloading this time.
My lily must have enjoyed being watered! It opened. I think this lily is kind of neat the way it forms babies along the stem.
Our company brought some home grown delights! Of course Banjo had to open the box and try to remove the contents. I’m sure she thought it was something meant for her.
Squash? Perhaps it is meant for me!
No cat treats? Corn. Cucumber.
What does a cat do with a squash?
Out of everything in the box, the cats found the squash to be the most interesting.
Kodiak gave it a lick.
Lady just sniffed.....
Maybe she was waiting for me to serve it up? Lol
Hmmm.... if raw squash get this much attention, how will I ever get to eat any after it’s cooked? I suspect that squash is about to become a cat treat whether I want it to or not!
I wonder if I can get the neighbors to cook this stuff and invite me over to eat? Oh well, squash for happy cat tummies and the rest of the garden treats for me. I think it’s a good thing that I bought cat litter today!
That must be it! The thunder woke the lily. I’m glad we didn’t get nettles. Even pretty beetles. Lol
Our company has errands today and has been very helpful here. It’s been a nice visit.
The kitties have been curious. I had the door open again.
Why isn’t the company inside petting us?
Call them back inside Thrasher!
Aieee! I think a lizard is looking at me!
I wish the baby gate was back up. It makes a great window seat!
Humans! Come back to serve us more squash and petting!
I don’t know if these humans understand cat speak!
Lol I wish I had caught Purry and Mackie in action but it happened too fast and was unexpected. Kitties! You never know what they will do next. Both boys decided to do their best Spider-Man imitation and were spread out and clinging to the screen! This is why we need baby gates! Fortunately I was there to remove the spider cats!
