Yesterday I called again.
Prime has been adopted!

Yay Prime.

To those who adopt, remember, they were loved before and should be loved forever.

All your kitties, for sure were loved. My Ruby, I'm not so sure. But she couldn't be more loved now.

To anyone in Mississippi or surrounding storm areas, my hopes , wishes, prayers, vibes or anything that can help you , are being sent out. Especially in Columbus. May the tornados and flooding stop! We are hoping for wonderful sunny days now!

I was talking to someone today about kitties ( surprise! ) and kitty love. In particular , rescue or feral kitties. It got me thinking about how often I have seen these kitties demonstrate their love for each other. For those who do not know, kitties bumping their heads or faces together are actually giving kitty kisses. A lick to the face can also be a kiss. It shows acceptance, recognition and affection. I looked through some of my pictures and found that I get to see that here a lot. I am very grateful to live in a place with lots of love around me. I thought I would show everyone the love.

It could be a Mother getting kissed by her little boy...Mom! I wuv you!

A husband kitty kissing his wife..”.Hey Honey!”

Or just two friends who haven’t seen each other for awhile.”Oh, I’ve missed you! Where have you been?”

It can be a brother and sister....”You’re my little brother and I love you.”

Or just two best friends. “I just love being with you.”

It can be a love from their past....”I’ve never forgotten you my dear!”

Or a love that’s a little newer.”I think you’re so great!”

Seeing so many kitties show such great affection for each other is a true privilege.

It would be nice if we could all get to see a little love like this each day.


Of course, some youngsters might think it’s a little sentimental!

“Go away! I’m not kissing anybody!”

I guess they’ll learn how nice it is a little later.

Domesticated, rescued or feral, they all love.

It was an active day here with the kitties! ( when is it quiet?!?!? )

We had a variety of activities going on as I attempted to fill out my tax return. So much for getting that done by Monday. Lol

I guess tonight is all about, cat distractions!

We had a demand for attention.....Can I help fill out the papers Mom?

A request for some affection.....

It will only take a minute Mom!

A discussion over who should get to lay on the blue rug instead of the red one.

An emergency removal of some matted fur.......It’s on my tummy Mom! Get it off!

That was followed by the required praise for letting Mom get the mat out....

Which was interrupted by the great bug debate!

Go away! It’s my bug. I saw it first!! ( It ended up being my bug!)

But in the end I did get a little help.

I set the table for you Mom!

Good kitty Banjo. I think she’ll make a great housewife one day. Either that or she’ll rule the world! The funniest thing is that she put the plates out about where I put them when I fix their food. How does that cat do these things?
I’m still smiling about that one. I hope you are too! Cats are amazing!

Ha! We should start a write in campaign for “Banjo for President!” The first female president. Wouldn’t it be a hoot if she got some votes? I could whisper in her ear, take care of the nation’s cats! A chicken in every pot and peanut butter for every human!

You folks do know that you started something with Banjo. The talk went straight to her head. ( living with ferals can be a challenge)

She’s already approaching the other cats to poll their opinion.

Never wake a sleeping voter for a poll.

Banjo decided to practice public speaking by using the monitors in the house.

She’s trying to convince BJ to be her running mate. She thinks that as a team they would do well....

It looks like the poll Banjo took is leading her towards a run for office. So far, she has a 99% positive poll! BJ as well. I did see one who wanted to oppose Banjo. Here’s how that came about......

There was a dark shape on the horizon!

It made the hair on the back up my neck stand up........

A large , angry black cloud puff landed on my shoulder!!

Then I heard a thunderous voice as the cloud moved down my back! ( ouch)

It settled in and said,”I vote No Banjo or BJ!”

“Bonjure going to be Top Cat Mom!”

It’s tough to argue with a big Bonjure who refuses to get off of your back!

It took a good five minutes to twist around enough to get Bonnie down! If a former feral sees you as a tree, you could get a few dents in your back. He’s such a big baby! He just had to be included in the discussion of the presidential race. I finally convinced him he could run everything by being the campaign manager. He liked the idea of being the one in charge. The powerful guy backing the winner had some appeal to him. He even decided to contribute some treats to a fundraising dinner so.... I guess he committed to “backing” the whole thing.

This should prove to be an interesting feral adventure. The old resident cats putting the new ones in office. It might work!

Bonjure said to tell you that it will work beautifully with the campaign he is planning. Bonjure has hired Whistle to be bodyguard to Banjo. Whistle works for free since it’s his sister. He’s already guarding her. Look!!

He is bossing everyone around. I was doing my tax returns when he told me he had to have my pen.

He is working whith Whistle to plan some publicity photos.

Ha! These cats! Getting the whole house involved in this is getting the kitties lots of extra attention and that is bringing them all together in a united front.
Blending old resident cats with newer arrivals isn’t always easy but providing them with a platform they all agree on is working out very well. It’s really true that blending new and old kitties can work. It just takes a bit of imagination! We’ll see if we can get the others involved too!

Avery lol I liked the “high five”too! I just couldn’t believe I caught that in a photo! Lucky shot. Of course it helps to have kitties who seem to know how to hog the camera. Many people believe that if you don’t catch a feral as a kitten, they will never be tame! I think these are no longer feral unless they are actually using me to take over the house. Hmmmmmm. Possible. Wait, I think they already did that. Smart kitties. Not only did they take over, they made me happy with that!

Things here have been very active so I had to do some, other than kitty, work today. The kitties were very patient with me. They are so considerate!

Bonjure worked on the campaign quietly. He is using a table as his desk now. There was a bit of conversation among the kitties about the Pesidential responsibilities. I never knew that the cats were so interested in politics before. I guess they have learned a lot since they came in from outside. I suppose being newly registered is exciting. I did tell them that being a registered cat didn’t really translate to being registered to vote but they just ignored me so perhaps I’m mistaken. I can say that voters are pretty cool cats in general.

At the end of a day of heated political debates, Banjo and BJ were worn out.

I was impressed at how the kitties focused on feral and rescued cat issues.
They have decided that TNR is a very important topic along with rescues and socialization. Quality cat food and excellent vet care are topping their lists too. A mouse for every house was mentioned but that was tabled for now. Banjo was more interested in feline rights. They also discussed human education about proper cat care for all so they aren’t ignoring the issues of domesticated kitties either. Thrasher came up with an idea to take a kitty to school day to teach Hooman children about kitties. ( She always has loved children!)
Ha! It’s not even time for the campaign trail yet.

Bj isn’t as worried about it all yet.

He feels the job of Vice President is a bit more cushy and carries less stress than the office of President! He expects pillows to fill his position.

Banjo takes everything more seriously than BJ so she required a neck massage to relax.

Apparently, that did the trick!

Mitsy was upset by one thing.

She kept pulling on my sweater and saying, “ Mom, Mom, Mom! I’m confused!”

Will we be Republicans, Independents or Demo Cats?

This is what happens when a hooman cares for this many kitties! You see cat tales everywhere!
