I feed them meow mix they love it but is it healthy ? They love it i heard its bad for them what is heathy but is not very expensive new cat mom
They probably aren't used to it. If you want to give wet, try mixing some in with the dry until their tummies can adjust.I think im gonna switch brands to something else but if i give them wet food they get diarrhea and I feel so bad
You could try Friskies or Fancy Feast! They are pretty inexpensive too. Make sure to stick to the classic patés though, they are the healthiest of those brands. Like kashmir64 said, make sure to switch slowly, that might be the reason for the diarrhea.Um what should i give them like what brand so it wont make them as sick we give it to them once in a while and i put a little water in their food for moisture
If I have to travel for work my bf feeds them. I leave him detailed instructions. Same with my visits back home to California. But...we’re gone for weeks once a year for vacation so we drop them off at boarding. 2 of the cats get switched to all can at that point and my diarrhea kitty goes on all freeze dried raw. Expensive but boarding is simply a nice chunk of our vacation budget. We really do limit our weekend trips since it’s such an ordeal and so expensive. But we don’t have any choice because one of my males gets urinary issues with even a little bit of dry and my other male has to eat raw or else he gets diarrhea. Even if everyone could eat dry my pig cat would eat all the food himself in one sitting.I wonder what everyone does when they have to be gone overnight and the cats are on wet only. I have no one here to feed mine, so I have to have dry for them to eat when I am gone. (though not very often!) I can't afford to pay a company, though I would if we are ever gone for longer. I feed mine Purina Pro dry. I have had cats live a normal lifespan years ago on cheap cat food. But most were outside cats that I am sure supplemented with prey. I would rather see someone feed cheap dry than not have a cat at all, you do what you can afford. Poor people don't have the best diets either, fresh food is expensive. But they are happy and live long, I haven't heard dire warnings that poor poeple all die young because of their diets!
I say feed what you can afford. Do research and find teh best for your money. But most of all, give love, that is what is the most important!
We are lucky to have pet sitter who is OK to feed raw. When I go somewhere, she comes, feed raw. Then leave room temp canned and frozen canned food out. I think if it is only one night, you can try frozen canned? I normally make 3oz/1 frozen portion, but assume if I make it bigger, it will stay frozen longer time? I also bought this one, don't like plastic but can use freezer pack.I wonder what everyone does when they have to be gone overnight and the cats are on wet only.
