You've really been through the ringer, Laurie.
This is a wonderfully awesome update; I'm so very happy to see Lazlo's getting better!

Laz gained another half pound (8 oz) so still putting on at least an ounce a day! He looks and feels (from vet perspective) great
. Got 3rd treatment, and we're supposed to try taking him off appetite stimulant first and see how it goes. SUCH a good kitty! Oh, and finally got answer about ultrasound
He wants us to schedule it at same place it was first done so it's on the same machine, and done with the same tech if possible.
So that's what we'll do!

...so Laz weighs 11 pounds, 6 ounces.

Great news on the weight gain. Can't wait until he has that untra sound to see how the mass is doing. With any luck, it'll have shrunk to nothing
Now, when is that going to be? Next week, or in two weeks? (I know you told me once, but I can't remember!)

The week of the 29th.

Chemo is in weekly cycles of 4, with week 5 no treatment. Next Tuesday (23rd) is chemo treatment #4. Ultrasound is during week 5 when there's no chemo treatment. So ultrasound is the week of the 29th.

I'll probably have an actual date and time tomorrow. I called the vet to schedule it, as the oncologist wants it done on the same machine as the first one - at our vet's office, not the specialist's office - and by the same radiologist if possible.

That day of the xray, everyone at the vet's office felt so bad for us.
It was a large mass that they thought was untreatable hemangiosarcoma based on the preliminary xray. So they called in the best radiologist they work with. He came in on his day off (in shorts and a t shirt LOL) to do the ultrasound for Lazlo.
So they're finding out when (if) he's available that week.

The SUN is shining on Lazlo today
. I am just SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO darn happy to hear how Lazlo is beating the odds on this and will absolutely keep up with TONS and TONS of prayers and vibes that he continues on this positive path. Lazlo truly is a champion little trooper
. Excellent progress, Laurie, YOU are doing an incredible job in caring for Lazlo during this difficult time. Just amazing how he is thriving and improving with this impeccable care and love.....

Will be waiting (impatiently
) for those ultrasound results during week #5!!!!!!!

Just wanted to thank everyone again for the support and for keeping Lazlo in your thoughts/prayers/sending him vibes!!!!!!

He is doing GREAT!
In fact, I wouldn't know that he was sick, if I didn't know he had cancer. (Does that make sense?
). He obviously feels better than he has in months.
(<--That he felt so sick before we figured it out.
).

I will be majorly shocked the week of the 29th if the news is not that his tumor is shrinking.

We stepped him down on the appetite stimulant - we took it down by half instead of stopping it altogether.
That was two days ago. Is it actually possible his appetite is increasing????
It seems to be!

We still syringe feed him, but mostly because he needs pumpkin, which he won't eat - and he likes it when we syringe feed him, silly boy!
