Well, while the very thought of heels makes me want to retch, I haven't heard any heels that actually sound like retching. Glad Betty was not the one making that sound!Someone waking in heels on the path outside my office window sounds vaguely enough like the retching sound of a cat. I jumped up and went to the front room and saw Betty calm as could be sitting in the sun in the deck door. She looked up me like, “you needed something?”
False alarm, Betty. Carry on.
I SO have done that, it's like having some part of my ears specifically tuned 100 percent of the time for the sound of "trouble".False alarm, Betty. Carry on.
Heels on the concrete path has nearly the same tone or pitch or whatever the term I’m searching for here.Well, while the very thought of heels makes me want to retch, I haven't heard any heels that actually sound like retching. Glad Betty was not the one making that sound!
Praise be! I’ve been pacing, wringing my hands, ruing the day. We all must remember what works well for 1 cat maybe not so much for another. Betty, I am so relieved you’ve turned a corner! She can't be feeling all that nauseated anymore. She's grooming now. Grooming is usually a turning the corner behavior for her. I don't know if she'll get the second half of lunch. But I think she'll be ready for dinner.
She just polished off her first dinner.Praise be! I’ve been pacing, wringing my hands, ruing the day. We all must remember what works well for 1 cat maybe not so much for another. Betty, I am so relieved you’ve turned a corner!
Good on you! Best of luck, for both Betty and Poppy! And success
I just went there, Cindy, and posted. Thanks tarasgirl06 No, no surgery. Chemo and prednisone. G has IBD also. I still say that IBD morphs into SCL.
Do not want to hijack this thread. I began my own.
I get stressed over appointments, too, so I empathize. Good on ya to be empathetic of Betty! and hope all goes well, for you both. She’s calmer than I am right now. She’s just sitting in my lap shedding up a storm. We’re just a little over an hour out and she hasn’t pooped yet. I wonder if that’s going to be a problem later (aka poop in the ultrasound if we do one today or poop in the carrier if she gets stressed out like Krista did in her last year.) I’m so much more stressed out about this appointment than she seems to be about her fast.
That was the same thing here although for a somewhat different reason.I’m so much more stressed out about this appointment than she seems to be about her fast.
