Your right, lets get onto happier topics lol
I love all the horses! Keep the pictures coming, I love browsing them!
Ok, hope you dont mind If I post some of my local horses, There's not too many for now but I'll try to remember to bring a camera out tomorrow so I can have pics of all the horses I'm currently working now
First up, a picture of some of my aunts horses, taken a few years ago. The mare is named Brandy, shes 14.1 hands and though I do still ride her on occasion, shes starting to get near her retirement. The babies name is Bailey, I'm excited because this fall we'll be starting to break him!
Another picture of Brandy, about a year ago. Excuse my ugliness, I had no idea pictures were being taken of me
A different horse of my aunts, her older gelding named Cat. He's a quarter horse/arab cross, and even though hes basically retired except for the occasional ride, hes still a ball of fire and is always trying to take off in a dead run. No dull moments with him!
Now for a lesson horse, I rode him in January and February, his name is Buddy. I'm pretty sure hes a pure quarter horse, but the stable didnt know for sure.
Now meet Jazz. Shes a pure registered quarter horse, and is being trained to run barrels. This is the first horse that I was hired to exercise, before I moved on to any of teh ones I ride now. I still like to ride her once in a while, Its always an adventure as shes VERY energetic (Thus her name, because she always Jazzes around when you try to stop) and even though shes an experienced trail horse, she enjoys spooking at absolutely nothing. It was like bomb training for me to get me ready for younger horses
Now, one of the horses I ride now, named Cole. Shes a little older, about 9ish, and this is both of our first year barrel racing, so we kinda learned together. This was taken at one of the jackpots this year, she was watching her buddy Jazz do a run (hope shes picking up tips
)
And, drumroll please, my own horse Mikki. Shes three years old and a pure quarter horse, and just a few weeks ago I rode her for the first time. I think you'll agree shes absolutely beautiful
First time I was ever on her, I was so proud of how calm she was!
More will probably come in a few days, soon as I remember to bring a camera to the farm to take pics of my other charges
