I LOVED Fat Albert and Scooby Doo!

I remember when there was only ONE television in the house and that was in the family room. Kids didn't have TV's, telephones, or computers in their rooms.

The Waltons, Emergency, Quincy, and Little House on the Prairie....

There was no such thing as "cordless" phones that I know of and cell phones didn't exist....

Donny Osmond and Leif Garrett posters..........

Levi's corduroy's in every color............

Going to the high school football games every Friday night and walking to Pizza Hut afterwards........

Baby Tenderlove...

Blythe doll whose eyes would change color when you pulled a cord on the back of her neck........

The Ballerina doll who had a crown on her head that you held and she would turn around in circles......

The very first video game......it was tennis on the TV and it just "bleeped" as the little green dot bounced back and forth.

I remember New Kids on the Block items were the thing to have.

I remeber the first time I saw the Internet at work (my stepdad made an order for his company, and confirmed it via instant message online).

5 cent chocolate bars, 7 cent sodas in glass bottles and 12 cent comic books; eggs and milk with cardboard caps that were delivered to the house every morning by the milkman and bread twice a week by the breadman.

Do any of you watch the "I Love the <insert decade here>" (70s, 80s or 90s) on VH1?? I love those shows. They are hilarious. I especially love Hal Sparks.

-Chrissy dolls (push their belly button, and you could pull their hair out to make it longer...but I had Velvet, my friend had Chrissy, a redhead)
-Lost in Space and Land of the Lost
-Shooting bottle rocket firecrackers out of glass bottles

-Lite Brite
-Watching Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom while eating Saturday dinner, and wondering why the crew didn't stop the cheetah from capturing the baby gazelle
!
-Watching The Wizard of Oz the one time a year it was televised, an event marked with popcorn and soda.
-POW bracelets (Viet Nam era)
-Friday night TV...The Brady Bunch followed by the Partridge Family. Must see TV indeed!
-My babysitter, Sherry, teaching me the words to the Beatles song, She loves you (yeah yeah yeah!), then having me sing them for her friends (I was probably 3 or 4). "Why are they laughing Sherry?"

I remember getting up and walking to the floor model TV and beating it to watch Sesame Street in clear picture. Remember when TV's were so picky?
I used to ride my bike all over town with my friends when we still had training wheels, and our parents never worried.
Listening at 5 o'clock for all our mother to howl and screech our names from the doorstep.
The SMURFS! I loved them. oh, and the original Sesame Street!
hmm....what else?
there's more i'm sure

They are still around. My dad is in the Viet Nam Vets Motorcycle club. They still have them. I wore two of them, both women, one in the airforce, and I don't remember the other one. They both got stolen though
I went swimming, and when I got out of the pool, they were gone, the rest of my stuff, there. This was maybe 10 years ago...
