Hi! BJ says to thank you and to tell you he is great cat. Lol He’s not modest. From my point of view he is an amazing kitty. He always keeps me smiling. I never dreamed when I first saw him that he would become such a gently and affectionate fella. Back then I really though he might try to eat me! It turns out that he was just protecting the cats in his colony. Once they were all safe he followed me into my house and turned into a love bug! The female in the previous photo is one that he protected. He’s a true knight in kitty fur!

Hopefully BJ won’t request armor now. He says he already ran the gauntlet.

Now he’s playing the field. He seems to be thriving on the love of his lady friends. The next to last photo says it all.

The vet finally got BJs’ medicine in. It was on back order. Whew! That’s a relief. His coughing has stopped and I want to keep it away!

Bj had a short round of coughing tonight. Hopefully just some fur. He seemed fine afterwards. It was sort of a wheezing cough. As always it’s wait and watch.
Flowers came to him immediately to offer comfort.

Nothing is sweeter than the love of a kitty.

BJ spent much of the day sleeping. He also seemed to choke up a bit. I called the vet and my concern is over the treatment. I am wondering if he has a reaction to it or if it might be causing the heartworms to die off and break up in his system. The vet is unsure. The protocol for the treatment of cats with heartworms is not really established. We are right back to wait and watch. I do wonder though since at the end of the effectiveness of the last treatment he seemed much better. Is it because the medicine was being cleared from his system or because no particulates were being flushed Out?
Still hoping it is nothing. Hair ball. He gets homemade butter tomorrow.

Tonight, Flowers stands guard over BJ.

He’s earned the love.

I’ll watch over them both.
