If you look at my previous threat you can see the beginning of how I got here.
. He’s a Ragdoll under 2 years old. I noticed him not eating 8 days ago on Monday. Friday he WAS taken the the vet and has gotten lab test and x rays showing no major problems. He is slightly drinking and not pooping. If he does it’s solid and small as my pinky first knuckle. He doesn’t act as energetic as he used too. Won’t play with his toys. doesn’t throw up, no diarrhea.
Today(Tuesday) I am at the ER for an ultrasound.
They found a yellow like fluid build up in the abdomen and enlarged lymph nodes in the stomach. I’ve noticed he is aggressive when they press on his stomach.
They suspect it may be FIP. While the original vet presumed it to be cancer.
Hearing all this I was in a bit of a shock so I only remember the few things I was smart enough to write in my notes and am awaiting to talk to the Vet again in person this time.
They went through a couple different options like
steroids to see if that would reduce inflammation
I was told of the FIP warriors FB.
and another procedure that I can’t recall at the moment and will update this when I get more news.
any info or support is always appreciated. Thank you
From what I read there is no test to prove that it is FIP.
so I’m curious what would be advised next steps.
