Precious- such a love bug

He is BUT only on his terms, he will swipe and squeak if I attempt
without his approval. I have learned to just walk away when he gets
like that. It seems to be only when he has to stay inside and gets
cranky

EDIT: He just realized it stopped raining, and went outside and he is now sitting on the cement wall
in the back yard. Its a Good thing as mentioned above I notice when he has to stay in
his energy level gets put on hold and I have to make sure not to overstimulate
him or else he wants to rough house and starts treating my arm like a chew toy.

Also He understood my request to dry off before coming up stairs.
There is a mid-level area between upstairs and downstairs
were I had some White file boxes sitting, Now covered in Cat
Paw prints, Good Job but why not use the nice throw rug I put
by the Kitty door ?

Oh on a side note

He has now started to sleep in the Inner Sanctum ( Holy of Holies ) My Bed Room
In the past he would only come in to remind me it was time to eat, like clockwork
he will come in, look at me, and when I looked back
he would run out and lay by the door waiting for me to come out at which time
he runs to His kitchen food bar.
Only the last 3 nights he has started to
sleep on the night stand that is just a little above my head when I am sleeping.
He sleeps there with his head hanging over the edge, looking in my direction,
I catch him looking to make sure I am still there on occasion
And as a matter of fact he is sleeping there now as i type this message

Very soon you have to give up 3/4 of your bed for him But it's nice of him to sleep with his head hanging over the edge of the night stand. This is one of the lap cat position.

Talk softly to him and blink eyes with him while he's watching you sleep and get ready a spot for him on the bed and keep inviting him over to the bed to sleep with you. It is very wonderful to have your cat sleep with you on your bed. My boy sleeps next to me every night.

Thanks we do love blinking at each other and I baby talk to him way to much

And Yes when I lay on my back and pat my chest he will jump down and stretch out on my chest Purr loudly with his head
butted up against my chin or cheek, stays like that for about 10 or 15 minutes AFTER I fall asleep and release the pressure
of holding him snuggled in my arms. Once I stop paying attention he moves , He likes his own space unless he is getting attention

I think He likes it on the cold side. once the temp gets above 71 F he looks for cool places to lay
like on the marble coffee table top or the bathroom sink. He will move into the shade when we are outside and the sun gets bright.
Good thing I have cement floors downstairs and it stays very cool during the summer so he should like that once the weather
starts getting wormer

My boy has a pillow of his own and he sleeps on it and so he does not encroach into my space except when he sleeps fully stretched out, his hind legs are in my face or his butt is

I wish I could get a photo of him when I carry him around, he
turns over on his back to be be cradled in one Arm while the other
free hand rubs his belly, Impossible to get a photo as he demands both hands

If you are using an iPhone with the latest IOS, there are a few ways to take a photo with your voice or ask Siri to take a photo and while you are carrying Unc. Just got to YouTube and search 'How to ask Siri to take a photo on the iPhone' and both tutorials for voice activation and ask Siri to take a photo will turn up.

If you don’t use an iPhone or if you have one but don’t want to go through the hassle of setting up the iPhone to take remote photos, you can get a selfie stick with tripod and remote to do it too.

This way, you can leave your phone on a shelf or table and take a selfie or wefie with Unc.

UNC is doing WONDERFUL. He is Happy and Content
has taken to sleeping in the bed with me so I have been
pushed to the edge now

I on the other hand am still learning his MEOWs
He has a special one when he comes in and says, I'M Home
another to be held and even a little nibble on my hand when
its time to Eat.

Oh OFFICIALLY a Lap Cat now, spends 90% of his time following
me from room to room, He wants me close by and as soon as I sit
he is up in my Lap PURRRRRRRING on his back, head resting in
the crook of my arm waiting for his belly, neck, check rubs

Sadly no one else here to get these awesome photos of him being
a cuddle monster.

Oh we do seem to have a connection, he will stay clear of strangers
until I tell him its OK, its been commented on by others when out front
in the yard for our quality outdoor time

Oh BTW as you may have noticed he has a New Collar (BLING)

He got MUGGED the other day by I assume one of the other stray cats in the neighborhood,
Came home without his Collar and some puncture wounds behind his ears, i have since been
on the lookout for a stray sporting his BLING

Had to make a quick trip to the pet store for a new collar and tag, dont want him picked up
and taken to the animal shelter, the collar and my phone number on the taq I am hoping
will alert anyone that he has a HOME

I was admitted to EMERGENCY at the beginning of last month
AND been fighting for basic VA Care care ever-since, Since COVID
the US VA MEDICAL SYSTEM has been either underfunded or just
have given up on us Veterans

But yes its still in the works and hoping to get it done as soon as im able

You know I do understand its not safe for him to be roaming the neighbor hood
but its not safe for me to go out and drive here in the Cal bay area, so much crime
Its not safe for either of us

So sorry you're having a hard time,especially after your service ... it's heartbreaking,you guys should get red carpet treatment and the finest care of all

We do live in a crazy world these days( not like when you & I grew up) its unsafe in many many areas BUT we know better and can do our best to avoid potential danger and keep out of harms way becausd we have intellect and can reason- our kitty's do not.So I hope you are able to finish your project asap,believe me I do understand about obstacles Unc and we can only do the best we can-I wish you the best(& Lil Unc)
