We have just rescued these 2 cats but nobody can tell us the breed. We are dying to know what their breed are. They are quite huge for young cats. Can anyone here identify their breed by the pictures? Many Thanks!!
I think that the tabby grey is a normal DSH cat.
The other one could be a mix of a DSH cat and a Siberian cat.
Sometimes cats can grow bigger than others. In my colony there are grown up cats that look a little bigger than kittens, and others that are very big.
They are Domestic shorthair and Domestic Longhair tabbies. Cats aren't mixes of any breeds like dogs are, they are simple the results of generation after generation of domestic breeding with domestic. Very few cats in the world actually have any specific breed in them. The domestic cat population is ridiculously huge and contains common personalities and traits that may remind us of a certain breed. This just makes it fun to try to guess what breed traits they resemble though!
Your cats are beautiful! I would describe the one on the left as a brown tabby and white domestic shorthair, and the one on the right as a silver tabby and white domestic longhair. Most cats are not any particular breed.
