Cats And Bleach Smell?

Does anyone else's cat go crazy over the smell of bleach?

Everytime I clean my bathroom with bleach, I wash my hands after, but my cat rubs against my hands obsessively and even tries to nibble/bite my fingers! He's always purring really loud too. What is this all about? It's so cute, but it's really weird and I also don't want him licking bleach residue. And it really only happens when I use bleach cleaner.

Personally, I'll stay away from bleach or any harsh chemicals with my cat around

I find the smell of bleach so strong, that I rarely use it. And if I do, I always wear gloves as I don't want the harsh chemicals on my skin. Interesting, though, that cats are drawn to it.

Hi. I actually posted a while back about this, because Feeby is crazy over the smell of bleach. I used bleach type products in my master shower stall, and she will actually come clear across the house to be in the master bedroom so she can sniff it. If I leave the area, I always close the bathroom door, so she doesn't get any closer to it while I am not watching. She has done this for years...
