It's jusr he used to go twice a day
So it 2 to 3 days ok
I worry
He must be feeling better, as last night he played with his bear, he has a teddy bear and he talks to it. Very vocal cat. Roots it up and down with his feet and picks it up with his mouth and walks it around the bedroom. It's absolutely hilarious he's very loud and urs, like he's talking to it
He's not done that in a, long time
Must be a, sign he feels better
Hope so

That is a lovely story of him playing with his teddy bear, and he definitely feels better if he is doing that. I am not saying that you do not have to watch how often he poops, but in my opinion, even though I am not a vet, if it looks normal and is a normal amount and seems consistent with what he’s been eating, it is probably OK if it is every other day. It also sounds like that stitch was the problem.

He doesn't play as often as he used too, but when he does he must feel ok
He sleeps a lot
He sleeps on my pillow every night. He's currently in a warm igloo bed
I keep checking on him. Every 2 hours
I. Have 3 pensioners and all. Have some age related health issues
It's a real worry

At his age, I don't think that sleeping is a bad sign. Plus, he has been through a lot before they figured out that the stitch was incorrectly done, so he is tired. Glad to hear that he is still pooping! Does this stitch have to be removed if everything seems to be working now?

I do hope they l keep it in, as every time it was removed before he prolapsed very quickly

I don't have unlimited funds

I can't believe his age, time gone so fast. I remember seeing him. Born along with his brother and sisters
He's the only one left now
He mum was put down just before her 5th birthday in 2013. Brain cancer miss her lots

I have had young cats pass away and it is very hard to accept. Time does go by so fast it is frightening.

Have a talk with the vet about leaving the stitch if it seems okay, especially so that they don't push the surgery at you.

Toby was playing with his bear again during the early hours

That's surely a sign he feels ok

It sounds like things are much better! Have a very in depth discussion about the stitch and its removal when you see the vet.

Make that extremely clear to them and don't even be concerned about telling them that you have tried very hard to do what was recommended and at this point your finances are way too tight for something else to go wrong.
Question whatever they want to do and make sure that you get well explained and logical answers. If this was a temporary stitch, ask what is different between a temporary or permanent one.
