His stitch looks very loose
He had a poop and a bit was stuck on tje stitch. I had to hold him down and use a wet wipe to gently get off poop as he was walking round and leaving poop on carpet
He hissed

The stich is in a loop and small but if poop was stuck. Hope it doesn't happen again

It sounds as if he is feeling better, which is good if he is playful. I personally do not know the answer to this question as I have never had to face prolapse, but can a stitch be slightly tightened or does this possibly mean another stitch?

And I know that this was all so stressful that it is hard to believe that nothing else will go wrong, but try to relax if you can as it helps Toby, too.

Just seen Toby with a walnut sized poop dangling on the stitch I lean on him and gently pulled it off
Then he went to the litter tray and had a long wee and enormous poop normal looking then jumped in my wardrobe lol. Now asleep

It sounds like things are returning to normal...hopefully. No, none of us are getting younger!

He's ate up and in my wardrobe
It's just I've never had a cat get to. 14. They've all passed away before that

My oldest were 17 and 16, some reached 13, and 4 died at a younger age due to other conditions which were sad and unpreventable. My vet had an office cat who was 23 when he passed on. But that was the vet's office and I am sure that any time the cat showed any signs of distress everyone rushed over to see if he was okay.

I am glad to hear that Toby is still doing well. It is very hard to deal with the fact that all of our pets will more than likely predecease us because of their shorter lifespan.

I have, too, and it is even more sad to think of the good life that they could have lived.
