We have a male cat, 1.5 - 2 years old. We have 2 litterboxes for him and very rarely does he ever uses them to pee. He would go to a place and pee, then scratch the floor as if it were a litterbox. He does this every day, and especially at night when there is no one to stop him. He pees very frequently as well. Make a puddle and a few hours later makes another. Called the vet, the urine analysis costs nearly $100. We don't have that kind of money to splurge on something that has a chance come up with nothing. Frankly, the pee problem is becoming unbearable. Looked it up online, just a bunch of unhelpful, generic advice like "Just put more litterboxes in your house!" or "make sure the cat's environment is stress-free as possible!", which it is. Is a vet visit the only option left?
