I have seen it, but not read it. Clearly I will have to go check it out so that I have somewhere to hang out when this contest is over.

Edit: That second banana is way weirder than I thought it was going to be....

I like the second banana more than the first one. Why bananas?  I don't understand.

@Handsome Kitty  Miss Fluffiness certainly looked fluffy this afternoon.  Lovely soft looking fur.

@CatLadyVetTech   Those are some fine photos of Tuxedoes too, I love that picture of Ingvild Solveig, and little Buck it too cute not to mention.

I don't seem to have seen much of Mouse today.   He was very cuddly this morning and earlier on in the afternoon but he went to ground when I started some experimental cooking and has been curled up on my bed since.
I decided to try baking some little sponge cup cakes using coconut oil and coconut.    My verdict is 'success', they are very nice.

Don't have much time to babble, but I'll comment as often as I can to help get to 2500. Hope everyone is having a great day!

@MServant   thank you.  Yes she is very fluffy and lately her fur has become very silky.  It used to have a slightly coarse feel to it.  She'll be a year old in September and I'm hoping this will be her adult fur.

Oh man, I am so full. I just ate a cheeseburger and then had a bowl of ice cream. It was great but ugh. Oh well. It's almost 1:30pm here and I need to go to bed. Gotta be at work at 10pm. Don't reach post #2500 without me!!! I'll check in after I get some sleep. :)

I think even at this pace we should be able to get there before the end of July. It'll be interesting going back to life without this thread.
Where will I put all of my random thoughts now?
Yes! I know! I'm dreading that!

I have seen "The cat Lounge" but but it's not quite like the babble thread since you have a specific topic there and if you're at a loss for words or reply you have to wait for stuff to play out

I... didn't know we had 2 bananas! OMG! I love the second one! He has some awesome dance skills!

That sounds yummy! Congratulation on the sucess

From what you say I would be hopeful this is indeed her adult fur coming in.  How wonder-fluffy is that!  It looks like you could loose almost a whole hand in Fluffness's belly fur.

Oh my, I'm not so sure I could go to bed so soon after that little food-fest'!  Maybe don't lay down too flat for a while.
I'm not sure when we might hit the 2500, it depends when the big rush starts, maybe not until you've had a good sleep and that ice cream has all been digested.   Enjoy your sleep because the babbling could be full on when you wake up.

The little buns / cup cakes were super easy.   I used coconut oil that I got for a yummy recipe @Losna  sent to me a while back and replaced the butter or margarine in a standard cake recipe with it, weight for weight and at room temperture so it was OK to whip up with the sugar.  Then I added an oz of dessicated coconut  in place of 1 oz of the flour and made the cakes like usual.  I used a little coconut cream in place of dairy milk to get the batter to the right consistency.   Super easy and super delicious dairy free coconut sponge cake!

@MagiksGirl   That last video clip with the kitten doing the back leg push-ups should have a spoiler cuteness alert on it!

My daughter loves to bake.  She really got into it last year in college.  She was in an apartment and baked as a stress relief.  Two nights ago she made chocolate french macaroons w/semi-sweet ganache filling.  They were so good!  I got to be the standing mixer that time.

All these cute kitten pictures are making me feel so mushy.  It's been years since I've seen a kitten and would love to have one again.

That sounds soooo good! Macaroons are just starting to appear here in Tijuana (I won't say MX, because each city is their own little country)! The one I tasted was sooo extremely sweet my resin fillings hurt!  (I don't know if there's a difference in sensitivity between resin and the black ones). But I will try to taste them from somewhere else!

Or are they supposed to taste like a spoonful of confectioner's sugar?

I'm sure you can visit pet stores and watch some there! Though be careful to not fall in love and take them all home!

This is just like baby Mouse!!!!!   (He was a terror for climbing up the side of the bed in his kitten room and almost always got stuck)...

They sound gooooooood.  But yes, I can feel that sugar buzz MagiksGirl is talking about, my guess is they're best taken with a lovely little cup of espresso.

@MServant Maybe I'd better stay away from pet stores then - I'm only allowed two kitties at my apartment.
But I love kittens!  I love the Pregnant Cats and Kittens posts!

Oh my! I can just imagine Mouse being like that!
Poor kitty! The saddest (and funniest) thing my kitties do is go downstairs into the bathroom from outside and then mew and mew because they are "stuck" there so I open the door to let them into the house... thing is... the front door's always open!

So you are supposed to eat them with expressos? I ate it with a black coffee and it tasted even more sweet with it!

It's probably a good thing to have that external control of things like rental limits but I know I'd struggle with it:  it's easier for me being limited by knowing my cat would not know what to do if I brought another cat in to his home territory than having some unknown authority telling me not to do something.
I spent too long renting rooms where either no pets were allowed or only the pets the owner already had.  (Of course I seemed to be drawn to places that had cats in those days).   Kittens are just too gorgeous though,  I wish I could go help socialise kittens for the people I got Mouse from (they would probably move house to escape as I'd always be there and neglecting Mouse) LoL.  Always that risk of finding one glued to me when I was leaving their house though.

Oh no @MagiksGirl  Mouse as always  been a disaster when it comes to getting stuck, falling off, falling over....   you name it!   When he was a little kitten his fur mom was so patient with him but he was a complete idiot: he never sat still and was always getting in to trouble of some sort.  Swinging from the covers down between the bed and the bedside table was a regular place where he'd get his claws stuck.  I do have photos but they're not on this computer - I'll need to transfer them some time.

Oh dear, if the macaron tasted too sweet with black coffee you need to build up some sugar tollerance.  There again, maybe not, you'll be at much less risk of diabetes staying the way you are.
