This is Clove. She’s 5 months old in a few days. She is my first kitten, so I have no idea what to expect in terms of growth stages, so perhaps she’s just a normal lanky teenager! She’s always been on the thin, angular side, but lately it’s like she’s suddenly sprung the longest leggiest body of all time! She’s just domestic shorthair as far as I know, but curious if anyone sees any other breed ancestry in her or if this is what all teenagers look like! She’s also got a long tail, big ears, and a very big set of lungs. ;)

This is her mom who was a street cat. No idea about dad of course. Mom just looks like a lanky DSH (with adorable markings) to me!

That third photo really shows the lovely exotic shape of her face (and would also be a great addition here Show Us The Whiskers with those perfect sun-lit whiskers against the black background). Her eyes aren’t as big as @tabbytom’s January, but her elegant angular shape reminds me of him. I can’t believe how fast she’s growing!

I forgot in the initial post to include some pictures of her profile, if that’s helpful to anyone more knowledgeable about breeds than I am. :dunno:

Just for fun, here’s an 8 month old update on miss Clove. She’s grown into the ears somewhat, but remains pretty slim and agile in body shape. Especially compared to her fluffy, chunky NFC big sister! She’s almost 6 pounds now. Half the size of Chilli. ;)

She has a very elegant shape! I love the contrast of the white whiskers above her eyes against the black fur. Has she completely recovered from her injury?

i agree with Tobermory Tobermory - Miss Clove is very elegant. She looks so Oriental  I am in love with the stretch photo - your pictures would make an awesome series framed. Clove has hit the trifecta of marvelous confirmation, amazing coloring and being very photogenic. Thank you for the update:thumbsup:

The first thing I thought about was the sphinx cat... but I've also seemed to observe that it may be a more athletic cat.

Yep! No more limping, and her crooked toe seems to have straightened out on its own just like the vet thought it would.

Aw, thanks! I’m biased, but I think she’s turning out to be a very pretty girl. :) She’s definitely photogenic and an excellent model! I love her long tail. I wish I knew what her dad looked like.

Only 6 pounds? Tiny girl!
I know! She eats like a pig, but I guess she burns it all off with her constant running around! I’m curious what her final weight will be. My vet and other vets here won’t spay until she is 3kg (6.6lbs), but she’s not there yet. Luckily she has not gone into heat yet. How much does Lelia weigh?

Lelia's about nine and a half pounds more or less I think - and the vet predicted she'd end up between nine and ten. I think she was about eight and two-thirds around her nine month birthday and six and two-thirds when she was around seven months? (the two times I took her in as a kitten). She was 2.88lbs when she was spayed at about 13 weeks - I have that in her paperwork apparently! So it was like her weight was slightly under the months old she was until she reached her adult size.
