Lately, she's been eating so much so fast. She still is hungry every 4 hours if not before but for the last 2 feedings she's eaten very little but I knew she was very hungry. She got real fussy when trying to suckle but was just chewing. So I thought that usually means they are too big for the bottle, so I tried some pate mixed with formula and she didn't want to eat it. I put her back in her cage and she sits and meows at the front door of the cage. So what should I do? I can try wet food without formula?
I got her to eat at a couple feedings yesterday but she's just not hungry when I feed her. I've tried plain wet food she didn't touch it. I even kept a small amount in her crate with her bc she walks around so I thought maybe she'd walk across it. When she does eat, she eats a lot but she's just been really bratty.
I'm looking at that last message.... and I'm so sorry! I didn't mean it rudely at all! I meant thank you for confirming!!
Anyways, she is completely done with formula. She wants nothing to do with it. She is now eating wet food. So at her age they usually have some water but since she is so small I like to keep her in her carrier with a heating pad. I could fit a small bowl of water but don't want to risk what happened with my last little one. So for now, I try to remember to syringe feed her some water and she likes it. But how important is it that I give her water? And how much? I mean is the wet food enough?
Usually wet food is enough. Or you can add a little water to her wet food. You can also give her an opportunity to drink water from a dish when she is out of the cage and being supervised.
Okay so the kitten is healthy and has a fat belly, but she's really not growing. The worms like stunted her growth because not only was she underweight, her bones are smaller than they are suppose to be. In two weeks she's barely grown anything. Is there a chance she'll be a small cat forever? I know she'll get bigger than she is...
