Here ^^ I know this looks like an injury but he’s doing it with both legs. Obviously this could have many different causes but has anyone seen this before?
My aunt has a 6 week old flame point rescue kitten that holds his hind legs up occasionally while maneuvering in a circle then plants himself. He tends to stay in a sitting position more than his siblings. He’s also smaller and skinnier but we believe it’s because he is the runt and not related...
Hi guys!
I've been doing TNR for a couple years now and I feed a small colony of FERAL (not stray) cats. Last night four cats stopped by my feeding point. Two are new and need to be trapped, two are known and have been fixed.
Tips for catching the right cat? I'm going to be monitoring them...
I don't believe its a health issue. It's been going on for a couple years. It recently became a more significant problem with the addition of a male kitten...however I've never actually seen him do it. Or any of them for that matter.
I think I'm going to try making my own enormous litter box...
One (or maybe a couple) of my cats are peeing on the INSIDE of the litter box but like on the side?? So it doesn't really hit the litter. It also seeps in between the crevice between the top and bottom of the box and into the latches. Which is sticky, smelly, and disgusting.
The boxes smell...
Welp! Just found out new feral kitty is a boy. Has a big pair of fuzzy balls back there.
Note to self... Perform intake examination before administering revolution... Just wasted a dose on him. At least he'll appreciate it.
Still welcoming opinions on whether or not a kitten needs...
First off, brief summary... I've lived at my current home for 2 1/2 years. I have two barn cats and because they have food outside, I frequently have ferals coming in to feed. I have found, captured, and rehomed two separate kitten litters to date.
Obviously, I cannot allow the kitties to...
I trapped a feral cat a little less than a month ago. I've assumed she was pregnant since then because I always saw her with another feral male.
I'm starting to doubt myself now because today she is "trilling", rubbing on everything, rolling around, and sticking her butt in the air and marching...
Gotcha! So it would be impossible or unlikely to have any white on the kittens with a solid black father?
She doesn't have any white really. Just the peachy color on her muzzle.
Here's a pic of her last litter (unknown father). The orange and tabby are male and the one with white is female. Curious where the white came from assuming it's the same father. The kitten in my icon is also her kitten. She was the first one I caught.
I've been doing research on kitten colors and it's so interesting to hear about the possibilities and impossibilites!
I was trying to find a kitten calculator to predict colors but didn't have much luck. Anyone wanna take a whack at what color kittens my cat will have?
Cross is semi short...
Sorry to hear about your dog passing. :(
She's definitely been a feral her whole life and she's at least a couple years old. Still just hoping she can get comfortable just enough before she has her kittens.
I'm pretty new to taming ferals and need advice. I currently have a likely pregnant small female and she is angry as hell. I've been sheltering her probably about two weeks. I had her in a large cage in my garage the first week and the second week I moved her into a small room in my basement...
