My cats are like this, but I discovered my cat who likes to eat more won't jump up on this little table we have that's about waist height. So I feed the other cat on the table and she can come and go to her food as she pleases without her sister bothering her. Hope you figure it out!
Just going to give my two cents on this. My cat had partially stress related crystals as well, and they did not dissolve until I ONLY fed prescription wet and dry food. :( They didn't even dissolve when it was 80% prescription 20% alternate wet food.
I stuck with the prescription food for 6...
Thank you for the responses! She's been hissing today and then making little whimper sounds like she's conflicted/ scared. Still okay to continue? We've been gone a lot today so she has had long breaks to relax.
This will be a long post, but I want to include all important details so bare with me. I have two female sibling cats who are about 1 year old now. I've had them since they were born, and they're close as can be and are really sweet cats.
When we had guests come over when they were kittens...
I checked and didn't see anything. I think she had some stool stuck to her fur so she was trying to get it off. I wiped her clean and I will keep an eye on it.
Right after I posted this she went poop and rubbed her butt on the floor--I think her stomach might be a tiny bit upset. I'm assuming that's the cause of this and nothing to do with a UTI.
My 1 year old female cat had a UTI in December that seemed to be partly stress related and partly due to diet. She was on Royal Canin until June, and about a week ago I made the switch to an all wet food diet with my vet's OK. She was doing fine, but today I noticed she was laying in the...
Thanks for your help! I was leaning toward that one, too. I'll be keeping a close eye on both cats and their litterbox trips obviously, but I'm slightly nervous to mix things up.
I think the UTI was due to a series of unfortunate events, though.
1. I switched to a new wet food my cat didn't...
Thanks, that's a helpful site!
Based on that information and considering my budget (which is basically nonexistent...), which of these two foods would you go for?
Food 1:
Ingredients- Chicken, Chicken Broth, Meat By-Products, Chicken Liver, Poultry By-Products, Natural Flavor, Minerals...
I've been looking for a new wet food for my two 11 month old cats, one of whom had a UTI around December. Since then they have been on Royal Canin's UTI food, which I really don't like because of the ingredients/ price/ overall quality. The vet gave me the OK to try a new food, but my budget is...
This happened to me and I found that feeding them on opposite sides of the door and putting a toy under the door for them both to play with together on either side of it were both helpful.
This happened to me a few days ago if you want to look at the thread I posted!! In our case it resolved after the cats were both home for a few hours and spent the night apart. I found that rubbing a blanket on the non-aggressive cat helped the aggressive cat recognize her. Then we fed them on...
Updating for anyone else with this issue in the future:
The morning after the surgery both kittens were crying on either side of the door. I rubbed the non-agressive cat (Luna) with a blanket that she likes to try to get her old smell back on her so that the agressive cat (Greybie) would...
That's the tattoo, not the incision :/ the way she's sitting you can't see the incision. See the green? That's the tattoo, but it just looks like there's a little indentation immediately below the incision.
Here's a picture of both the tattoo and the incision.
Also the gel is surgical glue...
