She's healed now :D and she is happy being an indoor cat, despite one or two tantrums when she wants her way. She has a verandah to chill out and stare at passersby. She is out sometimes during the day but keeps within 50ft of the house, she is alwaye within our perimeter and ready to come back...
My dog's a 100% indoor dog; never outside unless supervised on a harness or in the fenced in backyard. We have cane toads and snakes at night too so its not an option.
Luna's never had cat fights so early, it was always at midnight or 2 am, not in the daytime/sunrise.
I think he may just be friendly. If he had a collar, you could add a note to it explaining that he's been hanging out at your place, and you're concerned. You could also get him scanned for a microchip at your expense.
My Luna, a rescue/runaway who showed up one day emaciated and loitered for...
We had to force our Luna into being an indoor cat at the age of five after she had surgery following a bad cat fight. She was a rescue and had presumably been locked in rooms so initially she'd climb the walls in a fit, but we solved her anxiety as we have a verandah where she spends her nights...
A recap; I own a rescue cat, Luna, who's now an indoor cat by night after she faced the risk of her tail having to be amputated due to a bad cat fight last year, and she is outdoors during the day but is preferring the air conditioning ;)
She's been an indoor cat for several months now. This...
It's been nearly 3 weeks, and Luna has been lifting and holding her tail up for short periods! Excellent news :) Keeping optimistic that she won't need her tail amputated anymore.
To ensure she won't go through it again, affer her house arrest is over we will be keeping her inside at night so...
We have no idea what breed she is, she was a feral kitten we found buried under rubble and dirt, but she's grown into a massive 8kg+ cat, she is solid muscle. The vets think she may be part Bengal, but anyhow, Echo is a girl :)
