    Litter box disputes

OMG, that’s word for word Billie (female) and Kan (male)! He just watches her and messes with her instead of playing with me! I’ll give this playing thing a shot, if anyone has any tips on how to get a lazy cat moving and playing more, I’m all ears! 😂😂 Thank you all for following up with me. 🥰

    Litter box disputes

The food and water bowls are not an issue, she is clearly dominant there and he lets her eat first. The same goes for treats. I can’t really tell if its dominance or pure boredom. The problem is he is really particular about playtime. I can’t get him to play, he is always the one who decides...

    Litter box disputes

Guys, I got another litter box, it’s in another room, it’s uncovered, but the problem is still there. He still runs to the box whenever he hears her using it. AND, now they’re both using both boxes 🤦‍♀️ The old one is for pooping and the new one for peeing. Apparently 🤷🏽‍♀️ She has to try at...

    Litter box disputes

Hi, they are 3 1/2 yo, I adopted them when they were 4 mo. They are both sterilized and healthy. Yes, he seeks her out, waits in front of the box (it has a cover). He sticks his paw in and kinda taunts her. I’ll see if another litter box will help. Should I let them both use each box?

    Litter box disputes

My male cat has recently begun messing with his sister while she’s using the litter box. She gets annoyed and growls at him a bit. I have no idea what the problem is. The litter box is cleaned twice daily and I know he doesn’t need to use it, he just kinda sticks his paw and annoys her. I’m...

    Male cat hormones

New cat owner here, so this might be a stupid question (bear with me): My 3 1/2 yo male cat, who is sterilized and never mated/sprayed or displayed any other behavior tied to changes in sex hormones has been behaving strange lately. He started meowing loudly by the door to be let out (he’s...

    Helping scaredy cat gain confidence

I am pleased to report that Q tips are working like a charm :) Also, I've noticed that my boy likes to play on his own. Which is fine, because his sister is a handful :D He also has no interest in learning tricks but maybe he'll change his mind with time. I also have a question regarding nail...

    Helping scaredy cat gain confidence

I probably wasn't very clear: they were 4 month OLD when I adopted them, now they are 3 1/2 years old. But these are all good advices, thank you! Will definitely give the boxes thing a try! I must confess I get a little bit demoralized when I get no reaction from him, but I guess I'll have to...

    Helping scaredy cat gain confidence

Thank you all for your suggestions! My shy cat has definitely taught me patience. I respect his personal space and have worked at getting him to feel comfortable with petting and attention. That - we have down :) He is a healthy, affectionate boy, at least with me. I never punish or yell at...

    Helping scaredy cat gain confidence

Hi guys I need some advice. I have two 3 and 1/2 year old cats. I adopted them from a woman who rescued their pregnant mom. I don't think they were very well socialized as kittens (I got them at a little over 4 months) because they don't do well with other people. But what gets me the most is...

    Water Loving Kitty

Hey thanks! I haven't tried a water fountain, was afraid of what that might encourage :devilcat2: but I'll definitely give the suction idea a try. I don't mind her playing with water, I'm just afraid of them going thirsty. Also, I have a bathtub which I've already filled with a little bit of...

    Water Loving Kitty

Hello, everyone! I'm not sure if someone has already dealt with a similar issue, if so, any advice would be most appreciated! My female cat loves to play with the water bowl. So much that by the time I get home from work, it's somewhere on the other side of the house and empty, leaving both of...
