    Clicker Training Problems

I am currently in the process of clicker training two kittens (a brother and sister who are five-months-old). The sister is a genius and is picking everything up almost effortlessly, but her brother on the other hand just can't seem to process anything other than "sit." He seems to not pay...

    Kitten Doesn't Bury Feces

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, she's 18 weeks. Her and her siblings were supposedly dropped off in front of the shelter when they were 7-8 weeks. I don't know if she would have been taught by then, but her brother covers his, so I assume that they were. I've tried both grabbing her paw to...

    Kitten Doesn't Bury Feces

Sorry for the late reply. Now I have all covered litter boxes, but she didn't cover when she used the uncovered litter boxes I had previously.

Kitten Pigs Out All Day But Still A Tiny Amount Underweight

She has had an issue with soft stools/diarrhea since before I adopted her and the vet gave her a round of antibiotics to kill any potential parasite she may have, despite testing negative at all of her vet visits. It's VERY gradually get better, although I don't know if that's from the...

    Kitten Doesn't Bury Feces

Are there any commercial litter boxes that are big enough? I got three extra large ones from Petsmart, which were already an upgrade from the ones I was using.

    Kitten Doesn't Bury Feces

Does anyone have any ideas of how to remedy this? She hasn't covered her excrement ever since I adopted her a few weeks ago. She'll dig before she goes to the bathroom, but afterward she'll just lean down to look and sniff at it, then proceed to scratch the walls of the litter box before...

Kitten Pigs Out All Day But Still A Tiny Amount Underweight

Well darn, not what I wanted to hear, but I love her regardless. If she could just learn to bury it/not step in it, it wouldn't be as much of an issue. When should I be concerned about her weight?

You have any tips on how to get enough salt into her diet?

Kitten Pigs Out All Day But Still A Tiny Amount Underweight

I've dreaded the thought of giving her even more wet food as the vet told me that can make her stools even softer. She's had an issue with soft stools/diarrhea since before I adopted her, and the foster parents fed her beef Friskies I believe. She occasionally has a bowel movement that is...

Kitten Pigs Out All Day But Still A Tiny Amount Underweight

She's eating IAMS wet kitten food at morning and night, and gets IAMS kitten kibble and treats throughout the day. I've done a little more research and I'm hoping she doesn't have pancreatic insufficiency, as that would also explain the diarrhea/soft stools problem she's had since before I...

Kitten Pigs Out All Day But Still A Tiny Amount Underweight

One of my four-month-old kittens can eat like there's no tomorrow. I took her to the vet to get her 16 week booster and the vet said that while she's healthy, she's just tiny bit underweight. She's been on antibiotics and all of her fecal samples have ruled out parasites. Is there any other...

Tips For Keeping Kittens Off Of Counters And Other Things?

So my kittens are four months old now and are starting to figure out they can get onto more than just the chairs in the living room and their cat tree, which is a problem I would like to nip in the bud. Unfortunately, they seem to be adept at dodging aluminum cans and also don't seem to be...

    Slowing Down Eating

I typically feed them wet food for breakfast, have kibble out all day, and then feed wet food for dinner. I haven't been refilling the kibble after dinner however. That said, she still scarfs down her dinner even though she's had access to kibble and plenty of treats all day.

    Slowing Down Eating

Any tips for how I can make one of my kittens eat her wet food at a slower pace? Once it's in her bowl, it's gone within 60 seconds at the most. I've already tried patting it down so she would have to lick it up rather than just munch it up, and it only improved things marginally. She already...
