Love watching Zorro try to reach that tricky spot on his shoulder blade. Never stop feeling honored that he is relaxed enough to clean his furs on my lap. I know he is a house cat, but you always sense that they are deigning to be tame…you can feel the wildness underneath.

Found out my uncle has been sick with cancer for 3 years and he didn't tell anyone about it until now. Not even his children. It has spread all of his body (bones and organs) and he has multiple doctors appointments he says. Organ function (heart, lungs, kidneys) is poor and he said he's lost a lot of weight. I'm very worried. He lives in Florida and is all on his own. He said he is scared but trying to put on a brave face for everyone. He said the reason he didn't tell anyone is because he didn't want to be a burden. But now the whole family is devastated. He told me to not worry but based on all he has said to me, the prognosis doesn't seem good. No treatment has been started, they just have him on morphine.

So sorry to hear that! Hopefully one or more of his children is able to be there with him.

Sometimes the most stalwart people can be the most scared underneath…I am so sorry to hear this. if you are close to your uncle, now is the time to do anything you can (if you have time or any pocket change). Send flowers, a card, ask him any burning questions he might actually love to answer. big hugs.

We are actually planning to visit him very soon. For a weekend or so. He talked about coming here to see everyone (didn't say why but I assumed because he thinks he doesn't have very long). But we thought it would be best if we go to see him so that'll happen this month or early next month hopefully.

After almost a week straight of nonstop rain, it was finally sunny today and tomorrow and on looks fabulous! Which means more work outside, but I'm fine with it. My friend was supposed to start another project outside a week ago, but the rain postponed it. Sometimes when this happens it takes loads of reminders for him to get on it, but all we need to do is rip some old lattice from around the building and replace it with something more solid and sturdy to hopefully deter more rabbits from moving in. The good news is it shouldn't be too difficult but the bad news is the building is pretty big and it might take us awhile to get it completed. The ramp into the yard is going to get a face lift, too!
My Mom bought Livie a little squeaky realistic looking egg toy a few weeks ago, and she is never without it. She always has it in her mouth.

We started calling her Sanka (from Cool Runnings, the guy with the lucky egg he was never without.)

The NERVE I have asking DD to put DS’s remaining clean clothes in her duffel bag (so his suitcase could hold dirty stuff) and then letting him go get one of those clean tshirts out to wear today. :rolleyes2: She was on him for going in her bag before I think even she realized what she was doing. I am not impressed. :headshake:

My dishwasher (18 yrs old) started making funny noises at the end of its cycle last night. Running another one this morning. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Update. I ran a cleaning cycle and it sounded just fine so I may have had something rattling in the racks yesterday.

I've been trying to find some body-weight based exercises online to do from home. I understand it; but man everyone seems to want to get paid for giving WAY more advice than I'm looking for. If I WANTED a whole custom program with coaching and what not; sure I'd be willing to pay for that. But I'm just trying to get some basic exercise instructions. I don't blame people for wanting to bring in income. I might have to go with one of these journal type books. :dizzy:

Have you checked out YouTube? Lots of different kinds of exercise demonstrated there that you might be able to adapt to your needs.

Do a search for "at home quarantine work outs". There were a lot of those free videos that you exercised along to during the lock down, I did a few of them and should get back to it as well.
