Help please. My cat's cone was too short and he damaged the neuter incision.

Ohh okay, I've already bought it so i can't cancel it anymore but it says it contains some kind of healing component that speeds up healing. Could i still use it?

What would you use it for? It is for abrasions, cuts, wounds, etc. I don't see any of that still going on, do you? Tbh, there doesn't seem to be anything going on that still needs healing 'sped up'.

I know you are worried about the protrusion, but that might just be scar tissue that occurred due to the many times the incision was re-opened and re-healed. And some cats are prone to developing scar tissue (just like humans) anyway.

Maybe just save it for a time when he gets a scrape or something that might need some help in the future?

L Lily Scott healing takes time, and you've been really great about monitoring his incision! Taking pictures so you can compare his progress over time was a very smart move. I would continue to monitor it and leave it alone and let the healing do it's work, IMO it looks like he's healing up very well.
Since the cream is new to him, no one can be sure that something in the cream won't irritate his skin and cause him to itch, making the process worse. For now, you can put it in your pet first aid kit so you have it on hand if it's ever needed...and when that time comes, you'll be glad you have it! :)

Hello everyone, one side of the area is absolutely packed with the hair around his wound. It also has a slight fishy smell so not sure what that's supposed to mean.

It probably just needs cleaned. Try a soft, clean cloth with warm water to see if that will help. Funny, for a cat who couldn't stop licking at this place, wonder why he is not cleaning it himself? I presume you have taken the cone off by now?
