Glucose test was today. My fingers are crossed for a good result. I don't particularly want to have to do the three hour, and I definitely don't want gestational diabetes, but I've gained a lot more weight with this pregnancy, so it could happen.

Thanks to having a Quest Diagnostics account I'm happy to report that I have once again passed my glucose test with flying colors!!!

Slightly less good news with the CBC. If I'm reading the results right, it looks like I'm trending anemic. So maybe chasing a toddler isn't the only reason I'm feeling so lethargic lately. I'll wait for them to call to see what they want me to do, whether it's take extra iron supplements or try to fortify my diet. I read on the internet being sick ca deplete your red blood cells, so I'm wondering if having Covid last month might have affected this as well. But as things that could be wrong, this seems fairly minor in the grand scheme of things.

I was hoping when I first got pregnant we were having a boy this time, but I'm coming around to having another girl. It's probably a more exciting proposition for people who actually have good relationships with their sisters. 🥴 But we will be able to reuse a lot of clothes and hopefully I can help them love and support each other.

We have a first name because we'd agreed when I was pregnant with J we'd use my preferred name if she was a girl and my husband's preferred name if we ever had a second, but we're still working on a middle name.
You're a wonderful mother. They are going to be just fine. Congratulations! :hugs::hearthrob::hearthrob:

J is already playing us off each other. If I tell her no to something she wants it's instantly "daddy!!!!" I told my husband I feared for when she's a teenager

DD did that when she was little. If I told her she couldn't have something she'd say, "I'm gonna tell daddy on you!" So I'd say, "Ok. Let's call him, You can tell him right now." He was stricter than I was. :lol:

My husband is definitely the bigger softie these days when it comes to J.

I feel massive and already have trouble getting up off the couch. I fear for the upcoming third trimester.

Guys. GUYS. J is TWO. It feels like she's been here forever and that she was born just yesterday at the same time.

She has strong emotions and opinions. She loves climbing and being active, people and animals, chocolate, Elmo, magnets, colors, and books among other things. Her laughter is the world's best sound, and while I'm often exhausted, she's perfectly herself and I wouldn't have her any other way.

Here's to seeing what two will bring and how she'll grow and change this year.

It's crazy where the time has gone.

Happy birthday sweet girl. :celebrate::hearthrob::hearthrob:

I know exactly what you mean. There is a cabinet in the kitchen that I call the time capsule. It has coloring books, crayons, drawings and little toys from when DD was small. I love to look at them. It seems like yesterday but somehow she's 27.

I was anemic with my second one. I didn't even know it until the blood work when I went in for a scheduled C-section. It took me longer to get my energy back after I had him and I had to continue taking massive iron supplements for a while after I had him. It wasn't anything major just took a little longer to feel right after having him.

I forgot to post my picture last week.

Anyway, third trimester! Feeling like a beached whale most of the time. And baby would be considered 'very premature' rather than 'extremely premature/micropreemie' if born now. It's always nice to pass those milestones.

I had a growth ultrasound today. Baby is head down and facing my spine, which is ideal for birth, but made it impossible for us to see her face. So they gave me a shot of her foot so I'd have something.
