dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 AWWWW! Thanks for relocating the little guy!
Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose Some think that gifting a human with prey is cats' way of showing us how to hunt (and by association, giving us an idea of what absolute failures we are where it really counts!) and I agree. Our beloved angel Tarifa would grab her favorite purple twinkle ball in her mouth and strut down the long central hallway at dark-thirty many nights, yowling at the top of her lungs (and you haven't heard LOUD until you've heard my Tar, whom I miss desperately!) before dropping it at my doorway. When I failed to get the hint, she tried our roomies. Abject failure all around. But that didn't stop her from trying. :angrycat:

Beloved angel Tarifa, telling me all about it.:hearthrob::heartshape:
Tarifa was a gorgeous girl. Ah, she was trying to show you how to hunt like my ferals. My how us humans are completely clueless when it comes to hunting. TG our kitties have shown us how to hunt and have provided for us.😉 I feel blessed. :purr:

rubysmama rubysmama That is the cutest cartoon! It makes me think of how Lady carries things off. Funny but I always thought that socks were lost when the dryer ate them. Now I know the truth!

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I once read a poem that said there must be a hole in the earth where lost combs, earrings, pens, keys and socks went. I guess now we know, a cat dug that hole! Lol
Banjo does love lizards too. Actually, I think she protects anything that moves. Lol She ate a fly once and I have never seen her chase anything else. I’m not sure she really meant to eat it. Lol She may have been trying to rescue that too. The look she gave me!
That’s a pretty lizard in the Mojave garden. It looks like it has a stripe down the side? I’m so glad Banjo loves lizards and frogs. Me too. Whistle and Mitsy protect living things too but Banjo is very vocal about it. She tells me to release the creatures.

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 I’m sorry the frog startled you. Bravo for getting your nerves back together to place him somewhere safe! He’s such a cute frog! Banjo approves! :clapcat: Frog rescuer and frog hero!

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose I think we all go ewwww when we find a dead mouse. I expect the cats understood. Lol They may still wonder why you didn’t play with it or munch down though! Lol They think they need to help supply us with food and teach us to hunt. After all, we are never seen hunting and we go Ewwww when we see a dead mouse! Lol Nice gift though! Upon brining ferals in, teaching them to
Play with toys was always interesting.

So……. When do they start moving?

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Beautiful Tarifa. Every time I see a twinkle ball I think of her. Lady tries to serve her stuffed lamb to everyone! Lol I can never decide if she is brining me prey or her kitten. Either way, it is their version of love.

Lari Lari One mans trash is another squirrels treasure? Very smart little squirrel! The pictures are fantastic. I happen to really love squirrels. I have raised several baby squirrels. The last one was named Reese. He left Reese’s pieces everywhere! He was raised for release. Perhaps that little guy has had Goldfish crackers in the past! Lol So cute!

What do you mean?
Well….. your bum is up in the air and hanging over the arm of the chair. You’re a little big for a child sized chair!

My pups did not forget me even after 3 long years of absence.
Of course they did not! Their love for you is always and forever. Animals are like that. They adjust to us being absent, and they love others, but they never, ever forget!

Maybe this is lizard lag!’
At your house, probably cat lag!
I thought that the squirrel was actually eating a goldfish .....................  :flail:
I'll go you one better...I thought that the squirrel was eating a duck.

Funny but I always thought that socks were lost when the dryer ate them. Now I know the truth!
Well, that and Sock Elves. They live in dryers, and take ONE of a pair of socks. ONLY ONE! Then, periodically, a missing sock will turn up in the dryer MONTHS later. Or some random, unknown piece of clothing that you have never seen before in you life. The oddest I ever discovered was a pair of sized 58 jockey shorts. I didn't even know that they made them that big! My sons (8 & 9 at the time) could have used them as a pup tent!!!

I can't believe how large her ears looked! She really grew into them😸 Good thing Whistle wasn't afraid of big ears back then, did he and Banjo come in together?

Once, close to 30 years ago, I stopped at the in-laws house on a Saturday morning. They lived out in the country, and Spooky, the tuxedo that was dumped at their place had been out hunting, as he was wont to do. There, by the back door, were 6 dead mice, lined up in a neat row.. it was only after someone had taken note, and properly praised him, that he ate them.. He would spend his days indoors and hunt at night. Of course, back then we didn't have the problem with coyotes and other critters like we do now.

Yes! The gloriously floofy panfur Bonnie -- it's FLOOFAGE, not overage!
And oh, those EARS, Banjo! *Are you sure you're not part rabbit?" You and I share the rescue gene, obvy. And those little ones are always trying to escape! I love spiders *All right, folks, no need to scream! They're really very beneficial. And for us, they are sacred.* and am always trying to hand-catch them to walk them outside, but they don't always cooperate and yes, they are FAST.
The collared lizards do have vertical stripes and the reason for the name is their dark "collar" which probably isn't visible in that shot. There were also alligator lizards up there -- they're a much larger lizard with a serious bite! -- and even chuckwallas, whom I never saw. But they're up there.
My friends in Finland let their two ginger guys out when they visit their farm. They both wear trackers. Of course they love to hunt. One time the little guy brought in a mouse he had vanquished and hid it in the bedding. You can imagine the joy when the hoomans found this "gift" some days later:gaah:

Thanking you. She really was a beauty! and very personality-plus. Social and never met a living being she didn't love. Her skillz were exPURRt. She was absolute perfection and we miss her terribly.
