I hope that's not true. I have so many albums of pictures I'd need to save. I actually labeled where pictures were from on fb!
Well, it's a moot point as to whether I can ever access my fb accounts again. But yes, a lot of people work on facebook. And at facebook. All over the world. As to the $$$, his own personal loss is minuscule (to him, I guess) compared to the platform's loss, which is unbelievable and yes, could probably house every homeless person in the US and maybe beyond. I haven't crunched numbers on that but am just taking a wild guess. Apparently that's off the search engine radar, for whatever reason. Mark paid himself a $1 a year salary in the past; IDK how he does his salary and expenses these days, but I do know that most wealthy people take it more personally, if possible, than average people when it comes to losing money, especially in the markets. I don't expect he was very happy. He and his wife do quite a few philanthropic actions. I always wish we could rope one of these uber-rich into giving lots of their wealth to cats. Actually some have -- Maddie's Fund was started by a husband and wife software empire, PeopleSoft. And the Walmart owners have also made the Walmart Foundation, which has funded over $11 million to animals globally. That's chump change to facebook, but it is a lot better than nothing for the animals in need, and the bottom line is that none of these people HAVE to care or put their money where their mouth is, at all. And so many of them fund human-specific charities -- not saying that's wrong, but definitely saying the animals are SO deserving and SO in need.rubysmama Mot all the kitties here cared either . Lol I liked it though. That little bird was adamant about something! Lol
This is Dolly.
I don’t care. I only chase shadows and dance.

dustydiamond1 Heh! Gypsy is making you run! Gypsy, it’s really hard to catch birds, especially if you have a human chasing them with you. Lucky for the birdie!
tarasgirl06 It did say spam. Lol I nearly deleted it but found out that the number attached was a friend of my Dad’s and not in my contacts so it showed up as spam. Glad I figured it out though.
Whistle would probably love spam! Anything ham like is on his love list. He always sounds like he is saying ,” Haaaaaaaammmm!” I think it dates back to when I was trying to lure him in as a baby. Lol
I hope Facebook survives as a platform for you and kitties. There are so many rescue groups and shelters that depend on it! That includes the shelter in my county. I called them today and good is nearly gone! I am sending food to help them get through. Donations plummeted. They had trouble before the big shutdown too. Facebook got spotty it seems. I read that Mark lost enough money to house every homeless person in this country! Ummmm, that seemed a bit extreme but maybe? Supposedly that was a drop to him. IDK but hoping he can rescue the rescues! I know Twitter is very different. I don’t sign up for most of these things but I do go and try to stay familiar. Twitter is about the only place that has the real news in this area. The local television stations rarely cover us here. They stick to the larger towns. I have been thinking about the rescue groups I know of that depend on things like Facebook and Instagram. It’s a terrible loss for them and the kitties. I hope they find a solution.
I am hanging in there. I am off my diet until January. I was burned out. I lost over 35 pounds though, so I have 25 more to go. I will be raring to give a second go at it after the holidays. They are Purrfect kitties for someone who wants love and can give love. Hoping, hoping, hoping!!!!!
How are things there? Good I hope!
You can save your photos in Google Drive too.I hope that's not true. I have so many albums of pictures I'd need to save. I actually labeled where pictures were from on fb!
Gracie's been just diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and kidney disease, so is on methimazole and Epakitin. And renal diet. She's almost back to her old self.

Excellent news!Last night was interesting...AJ actually came up and "bumped noses" with the end of my finger! First time in two years that I've been that close to him!
Thank you. I am going to be careful not to put that weight back on while I am on hiatus. I still got a ways to go.Over 35?!?!? Awesome! I know you had a goal for yourself andI think you should reward yourself. Giant pat on the back and hugs from me!
I had a cat who developed Hypothyroidism and her Kidneys were not working properly as well. She was on meds for the rest of her life and passed away at nearly 20 years of age. She lived a long full life. I wish the best for Gracie. It is a good to hear that she is playing and has had a case of the zoom(ies). Cats are truly amazing. Thanks all for all the wellwishes for Gracie . She says it's helping! She was batting around a fuzzy ball toy this morning and she also got the zoomies! She's gained a half pound back so she's for sure on the mend.
I could look at snuggling cat pictures all day..."awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww..."
Love the Pawverb!
Good for AJ!
I was glad to hear about the animal Funds also.
