I was finishing up cleaning the boys' bathroom when I walked past the sliding glass door and saw the groundhog that lives under our shed was out and about in our backyard. Got one picture and went into my oldest's room to get a better one and scared him back underneath the shed.

Looks like I have to change sunscreen brands. We used this brand all last summer with no issues, but when we got home from swimming, I noticed that Aedan was covered in a rash. I didn't put sunscreen on his back or belly because he was wearing a shirt and no rash there. Just all over his arms and legs and a little on his face.

It just matters what part of the country you're from whether it's one or the other.
My grandpa always talks about hunting for woodchucks so they could have meat (big immigrant family during the Great Depression) and how it all tastes the same when his mother tossed it in the sauce pot. I never really put 2 and 2 together till now. :lol2: I’m going to tell him the next time we chat. He’ll get a kick out of that.
That’s been happening to me lately too! Also, I hope you sleep better!
Thank you; I will probably crash in a bit!
Yesterday, Ali got a birthday card and $40 in the mail. I took her shopping today to spend her birthday money. I took her to the toy aisle and she saw something, made a happy squeal, clapped, and reached for it. I figured that was her choice. And she still had $15 to spend so we got her an outfit.View attachment 383243View attachment 383245
Good choices Ali! I love that outfit!!:hearthrob:

Ugh I hate that. We’ve gone through several brands. I tried a stick version of one we already used successfully and DD’s whole face turned red and peeled!
Our five roosters started crowing recently. It’s so obnoxious out there with their chicken rap battles lol. We will be thinning down to one rooster by the end of the month.
Oh man! My neighbors across the street have one. That took more getting used to than the dump trucks from the commercial place. :rolleyes2:

You're a nicer mom than I am. I told my husband about this post and how I would take the birthday money, or at least half to put in her college savings account.

...Of course, his reply was that he would suggest investing it in Microsoft for her instead, so I guess he won't be the fun parent either.

For future birthdays, that's what I'll do. But this was her first. And she was born in the middle of a pandemic. She'd never even seen a toy aisle before. We have another 17 years to set up her college fund. :)
