They tasted odd, but no mold on them, so I ate them. I don't feel sick.
Fingers crossed they were ok. :crossfingers:

My Dad used to say "waste not, want not", but I tend to go with "when in doubt, throw it out".

Tonight I had slice of lentil loaf, basmati rice and peas.
Last night was one of the frozen brushetta pizzas

Given the time change from here to Texas, by the time we got off the Zoom of our granddaughter's wedding it was time for dinner. Quick, need something quick . . . boil water for pasta. While it is boiling dice and start sauting onion, slice and add mushrooms, oh look there's part of a sweet pepper, left over from something else, some other time. Might as well dice and add that. Haul chicken thigh out of congealed sauce, cut off bone and dice. Add to vegetables. Water boiling, add spaghetti. Add sauce to chicken & vegetables, cover pot, turn down heat. Drain spaghetti, combine with chicken, vegetables, sauce. And serve. Almost took longer to write this than to cook that.

You can put meat on just one half. We do that all the time. It only went wrong once, the guy at Pizza Hut slopped the meat all over my side. I wrote a complaint and got my next pizza free. 🍕
No, sorry, I won't eat a pizza with meat on it even if it's the other half. :nono: I can still smell the meat and it bothers me.

I finally got a bagel today, (cinnamon raisin),toasted with strawberry coconut milk yogurt on the side and had a late lunch. Not too hungry for dinner tonight so I made lentil vegetable soup. Walnut halves and honeycrisp apple for dessert.

I could not eat pizza with meat on one side of it either. Today for lunch they gave me a salad with a hard boiled egg sliced over top of it. I would not eat that because the egg was touching the lettuce. LOL

I noticed on the memu tomorrow they are having a Valentine's Day Special for lunch. Everybody has the choice of either shrimp or some kind of meat. They are having crackers and corn for a sidedish. All I ever get are the side dishes so I am going to tell them don't bring me anything. They can keep their Valentine's Day Special. With my IBS acting up the last thing I want to eat is corn or a salad. I'll just have my naan pizza.

I was baking cookies yesterday, so Rick suggested calling for a pizza last night. Worked for me! Nothing fancy, just a sausage and mushroom pizza.

Crock Pot Pot Roast for today. It's all in the crock pot now. This is one of the very, very few times I use Cream of....Anything. Lipton Onion Mix, Cream of Mushroom Soup, and white wine. That's it and the gravy is so good. I put potatoes and carrots on the bottom with the beef roast atop the vegetables. Apple pie (from the freezer) for dessert.

All the recent bagel talk got me crazing bagels. 🥯 So when I went to the store today, I got a bag of Cinnamon Raisin ones, as well as a bag of Maple French Toast ones. Will be having one of them for lunch today. No idea about tonight's dinner yet.

I'm not sure if I could eat pizza that had meat on one side, and fortunately it's never an issue, as it's just as easy to buy 2 pizzas (one meat, one veggie) and freeze any leftovers for another time.

Ended up making soup tonight. Cornbread would have gone well with it. Maybe I'll make some tomorrow. Tonight I had Triscuits with it. View attachment 370090
Wow that soup looks good! It reminds me of the vegetable soup my mother used to make except she put beef in her's. It would be delicious with corn bread.

For dinner I was giving two kinds of fried potatoes, white rice, mushrooms and peas. I shamefully ate every bit of it. For dessert they had spice cake with what looked like marshmello icing. I passed on that. I have a red delicious apple that I will eat later.

That actually sounds yummy! I'm obsessed with crackers lately.

We can't afford to get 2 pizzas when we get takeout unless we get personal pans and my dad hates those, so it's half & half or nothing. I don't mind, the meat usually is nowhere near my side, except that one time in all these years.

lima beans
What did you put on the lima beans? Just butter & salt?

Breakfast: 3/4 cup Aldi cinnamon granola, half a diced Gala apple, 1/3 cup 2% milk. I got the ratios perfect this time!

Lunch: I took the leftover roasted cauliflower and the other half of that diced Gala apple, put 1/4 cup Newman's Own BBQ sauce on it and baked in toaster oven. It was surprisingly good! I don't think I had the heat high enough, the sauce didn't caramelize at 400.

Dinner: Leftover taco salad- black beans, corn, cheese, garlic, onion, rice, sour cream, diced tomatoes, salsa, taco seasoning. Added Aldi sea salt pita chips and 1/4 cup Ortega hot taco sauce. Good, but it needed more salt.

yes ma'am...that's all we ever do.Sometimes I'll cook them in a little chicken broth and add some chopped onion, but I still just use butter and salt and a little fresh ground pepper.

I love crackers by themself or with cheese or in soup. The only crackers they have here are the Keebler Townhouse crackers. They are good but I get tired of them.

I used to get two large pizza's and freeze them so I could have some good pizza whenever I wanted it. It was better than buying frozen pizza and having to bake it myself.

Have you ever had Totino's Pizza Rolls in the frozen food section? They have a cheese flavor one and they are so good. I am going to have my brother get me a package so I can have them here.

I think I'm going to make the cornbread today, so I'll have more of the soup tonight, with a piece of cornbread. :yummy:

Does your Pizza Hut ever have the deal where you buy one regular priced large pizza, and then can buy a 2nd, 3rd or 4th medium one for $5.00 each. When they have that deal here, it's a good way to get extra to freeze for future meals. 🍕

Coffee ice cream for dessert.
Didn't the ice cream make you cold again? :cold:

rubysmama rubysmama You can make soup for me anytime! Dang, that looks good!
neely neely That veggie chili looks decadent!

Our crock pot pot roast was really good last night. We're going to make hot roast beef sandwiches with the leftover beef and gravy tonight. And leftover apple pie.
