neely neely Good Luck with the implant.. I had one completed a couple of years ago. I am so glad I did it.. It was worth the pain and expense. I ate a lot of mashed potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, oatmeal, .... very soft foods.. Ice Cream and milk shakes sounds good.
Thanks for your support. Yes, it's a long process and I'll be glad when it's finally over. I forgot all about sweet potatoes, thanks for the suggestion since I have some in the house. This morning I graduated to oatmeal. I also bought Pacific Butternut Squash soup and coffee ice cream.

I opened up a jar of chutney
I would love to try chutney again, but I haven't seen any lately. I'll check Walmart.

Breakfast: Udi's vanilla granola, 1/3 cup Aldi vanilla almond milk, 1 Pinata apple diced up.

Lunch: Snack plate- Ritz toasted veggie crackers, Aldi tropical fruit cup, 1 hard boiled egg, walnuts, 1 slice diced Muenster cheese, Cabot cottage cheese, sundried tomatoes in oil, 1TB Jiff natural peanut butter, 1TB Aldi apricot preserves, 1TB Aldi pineapple salsa

Dinner: Huge dinner plate salad again- lettuce, onion, orange bell pepper, 1 Aldi vegan veggie burger microwaved and diced up, shredded mozzarella cheese, shredded parmesan cheese, walnuts, dried cranberries, crystallized ginger, Ritz toasted veggie crackers, Aldi cottage cheese, Wishbone Italian Dressing

The only chutney I've ever seen in the stores around here is Major Greys and I haven't seen it in a long time. This that I opened I made myself...green tomato chutney, and it is spicy and sweet with raisins and onions ...delicious with so many different things!

Breakfast: Last 2 slices of Great Value Multi Grain bread toasted, each slice had 1TB Butter, one slice had 1Tsp vanilla sugar, the other had 1Tsp molasses sugar, also half a diced Pinata apple on the toast. Yum.

Lunch: Snack Plate!-- Ritz toasted veggie crackers, salsa flavored Sun Chips, Dollar General Clover Valley tropical dried fruit, 1 hard boiled egg, Aldi cottage cheese, Aldi vanilla yogurt, 1 slice diced up Aldi mozzarella cheese, sundried tomatoes in oil, 1TB Jiff natural peanut butter, 1TB Aldi raspberry preserves, 1TB Aldi pineapple salsa. I usually hate yogurt, but it's good on crackers!!

Dinner: Microwaved some cooked rice, mixed frozen veggies- peas, corn, green beans, carrots, one diced Aldi Asian veggie burger, half a Velveeta cheese sauce packet, 1Tsp habanero hot sauce. Put Ritz toasted veggie crackers crushed on top. Yummy! It needed some seasoning though, not sure what.

A few days ago I had poached the two duck legs in duck stock made from the carcass, carrots, onion, celery, bay leaf - the usual suspects. On Tuesday I fished them out of the refrigerated cold stock, skinned and boned and put the meat back in and back in the refrigerator.

Tonight we had the duck meat - I made a gravy with the now quite rich stock thickened with cornstarch and warmed the duck meat in it. White and wild rice. Asparagus.

I had poached cubes of quince a few days ago. Warmed up and served with the duck. Himself didn't care for it. Oh well. More for me.

Tonight I am having chicken salad sandwiches. I got VERY ambitious, and made white-meat chicken salad (I'm from the South...my mother would come back and haunt me if I put dark meat in chicken salad) with cranberries and chopped pecans. I'll probably have that for a couple of days. Don't like to let it sit long in the fridge.

For chutney lovers, try Old Farmhouse Chutney. I make a little bit of it every other year. Full of raisins and apples, etc. it's really good. Sometimes I'll make white cake or a small spice cake without frosting and we'll top it with the chutney. I've served it with ham and pork. Rick has even had it over vanilla ice cream. It's good stuff. If anybody wants the recipe, let me know and I can post it.

I thought I had taken ground beef out of the freezer the other day, but in my haste, it was a ham loaf mixture. So I put together a ham loaf and did the butternut with that. In the NFG. Good stuff! My meat loaf pan has holes, so the grease and fat drip into the pan below it. That is a glaze of brown sugar and mustard on the ham loaf. I put it all in together at the same time. Good stuff! Also served with green beans with sauteed onions and Trinidad Lemon Seasoning.

the leftover pizza and calzone
Yum! We don't ever have leftover calzones, we eat them right away! It would be fun to save half for the next day though. :yummy:

Breakfast: Finished the Udi's vanilla granola, 1/3 cup cow milk, half of the last Pinata apple diced, a handful of Dollar General dried tropical fruit.

Lunch: Snack plate!-- The other half of the last Pinata apple, Sunchips salsa chips, Ritz toasted veggie crackers, 1 slice diced Aldi mozzarella cheese, Aldi cottage cheese, vanilla yogurt, Dollar General dried tropical fruit, 1TB Jiff natural peanut butter, 1TB Aldi apricot preserves, 1TB Aldi pineapple salsa.

Dinner: Naked Rice Szechuan cup. Yummy & very spicy! This was supposed to be a full meal, but it only covered half my dinner plate, so I added 1 hard boiled egg, Sunchips salsa chips, 1TB Aldi pineapple salsa, 1Tsp habanero hot sauce. I should have added mixed veggies, but didn't think of it.
