rubysmama rubysmama I can’t take credit for finding the clogs. My Dad wanted to send me something a while back and he knew that Banjo and I love tree frogs so when he spotted these, he sent them. I have been holding onto them for special days. It seemed like a good time to wear them and Banjo agreed. I love that Banjo tried not to laugh but just couldn’t resist the urge after teasing me. ;) It’s not your usual sounding laugh! As you might imagine!

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I thought those recipes sounded pretty good myself and I don’t like beets either. Lol The soups were topped with olive oil. Hmmm. I am curious!!
I’ve been tapping the frog clogs to the music!
As a talented photographer, Banjo would probably like to take credit for those close ups as selfies but this time, I did it! She has the most expressive little face. Whiskers, pink nose and all. Beautiful. But then, they all are.

M maggiedemi I loved it when Banjo buried her face to stifle the giggle too. A cat faceplant? Lol
That nitro coffee is supposed to be rich and frothy. I thought that video might be interesting to others. I thought it all sounded good.

Furballsmom Furballsmom I’ll take it and share it. ;)

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 It is a bit of a unique flower. My Grandparents used to breed camellias and they had some amazing flowers! Like that but layers of petals. I wish I could get cuttings. Sometimes I drive by and see them , still blooming at their old house. I believe one hybrid is still on the market but not sure where. I enjoy the beautiful simplicity of this one. It shines out under the old oak trees and moss.
I kind of figured that you might like the clogs. They are super comfortable.
My Dad is very weak and will be on oxygen for now. There is a date for release from the rehab center at the hospital. He is going to need a lot of care for now and we really don’t know what to expect as far as recovery from here. I hope to be able to talk to him again soon. I’ll know more then. Maybe by the weekend. Not sure. Thank you for asking. :heartshape:

BellaGooch BellaGooch It’s a very cheerful looking little flower! If a flower can smile, I’m pretty sure that one is! Lol

One of my favorite camellias is blooming! I love the colors and it is covered in blooms and buds. This is the first time it has bloomed in a few years. A sign of brighter days? I’ll take it!
Oh, that is so beautiful. There's no pretty colours around here right now, so thanks so much for posting it. :redheartpump:

Nice to see Whistle having a featured night. :catlove: Course his sister had to make a cameo, but that's ok. We love you too, Banjo. :bicolorcat:

Camellias are my aunt's favorite flower, but where she lives they do not thrive, as it is too hot. I am trying to hold onto mine as the climate change worsens. So far I've lost three, and I still have four although one is very thin and sickly looking. Two white with pink candy stripes, one double light pink, and I'm not sure about the sickly one, what color the flowers are, because I don't recall it blooming.
Yes, I do love clogs! and those are special. No wonder Whistle and Banjo love them. *BTW, do you give your cats something special to make their whiskers grow? They have very lush whisks!*
*PRAYERS* ongoing for your father.

I love when people send special little care packages like that. Your dad sounds like somebody I would like to know. :hugs:

Lidia does that on her cooking show, pours olive oil on top of finished dishes, like pasta. 🍝

I hope so! I'll take some too. 🌤

Oh I get it now. Banjo is trying to trick Whistle into getting the heck out of "her" spot. Brilliant little pirate.

Oh, you would love Maggie then! She has the most beautiful, super long whiskers & eyelashes! My sister-in-law wanted to steal her. Boy would she have been in for a surprise! :devilish:

tabbytom tabbytom It is a sweet flower. Bright against the deep green foliage. I do love seeing flowers!

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 I did think you could use a camellia right now.;) I do know you love them.

rubysmama rubysmama I also figured a little color in the garden would go a long way. There may be disadvantages to being here but also, advantages with flowers.
Whistle did not fall for giving up his lap time. Lol Banjo is smart but it was Whistle’s turn. However, we know that Banjo will find her way into photo ops!
I hope I get to talk to my Dad too. Thank you for that.

M maggiedemi I think my Dad has a lot in common with yours. ;) The frog clogs were a special gift.

Banjo did try to trick Whistle. Lol It didn’t work out quite as she expected though. Whistle is pretty smart too. Innocent but smart. I think Whistle knows his sister pretty well. Been tricked before! Probably figured out that a frog wouldn’t fit in my shoe. Unless it had croaked.

I love it when you catch my little messages. Flowers aren’t the only things that shine! We all need some extra light in our lives. I hope for light for everyone.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I thought of you when I included the frog clogs! You were right about them being great shoes to wear. I would wear clogs all the time if I could.
Oh you have candy stripe camellias? Grandmother had one like that. Even when the blooms fell, since they stay pretty even after falling, she would let me gather some and float them in a bowl. She was very patient and accommodating with me. Lol I wanted to keep the flowers alive. No stems, just floating flowers.
I know we have talked about your camellias before. If only there were some way to shade the foliage or roots more, maybe they will make it. I have one that was getting badly burned and I planted some fast growing hedge plants on each side. I wasn’t sure if those would save it with shade or crowd it out but the plant has improved greatly and is blooming regularly since the hedges have nearly covered it. It peels out from between them. One is a Ligustrum and one a large type of boxwood. Those two can take the sun and heat. It may not always work as they overgrow the camellia but it has saved it so far.
I don’t give the kitties anything special for their whiskers. I think the whiskers are just a product of floof genes.:dunno: Maybe it’s something in the climate here? The moss that grows here is long and lush. Humidity? Hmmmm. These kitties did come from the wetlands. Maybe they have a little catfish in them.

Thank you for the continued prayers.

It was another long day here. I ended the day with a check in visit to Pawpurr. That was a good way to end the day. Paws and Purrs for everyone. I was thinking about one of my oldest friends today and how this would bring some , much needed, light there. May the light and purrs bring smiles and healing to all.

Awww, what a beautiful creamsicular welcome!
I love catfish. I would never eat them. My parents had a couple of little catfish in their aquarium at one time and they were my favorites. They are good cleaners in aquariums.
Yes, I'm trying to hold onto the camellias and I used to do the same thing with those that fell (without stems).
Hoping you can talk with your dad soon!
My dad tried never to cuss in front of me, especially when I was small. Instead of cuss words he'd say, "Oh, FROG!" so Mom and I used to get him cards with frogs on them and I got him a frog stuffie holding a heart that said, "TOADally Yours" on it.

Some people think oil is not good for the diet when in fact, it is necessary and depending on the kind and quality, very good. I like corn oil myself, and it is an important ingredient in my soups, to give them body, as the soups are all vegetarian/vegan.

I can definitely relate to this life metaphor. ☂

I had one like that, as well. He wasn't just a father, he was a DADDY. There's a difference. I really think that there were kids when I was growing up who befriended me to get close to my Dad.
