My Feral And Rescued Cats

What usually happens is that if I don't scratch vigorously enough, or in the proper place, said cat will hook at the stylus and try to chew on it. This is especially so with Miss Eleanor, who brooks no nonsense when it comes to demands for attention.

My post is going to be fast! I have gotten NO signal for anything today and got cut off last night! Last night the whole neighborhood ended up outside. We all had our houses shake during a huge noise. We have no idea what caused it but the air is full of stinky smoke. Do we have a headache emoji here? Blah. Maybe my signal will stay up. Even plain old phone calls were not working today.

Whenallhellbreakslose Ahhh, the mouthwatering thing was actually a Pepper! Sorry about that! Some dessert! Lol I wonder if any dessert has peppers?!?!

Ohhh! So BJ just wanted to make sure I caught his scent! Yeah. Lol This is one time I am glad I don’t have the nose of a cat! I prefer the kitty kisses but appreciate the offer! Very kind of him.

Stay safe Jbirdcat. Hopefully, you will find out soon what that mysterious sound is. Years ago, on morning of Thanksgiving. A plane flew so low, I thought it was going to crash into my house. Many car alarms were set off and the neighbors were a coming out looking to see what set off the alarms. I found no news about a distressed commercial plane. It was foggy that morning so Planes were flying a bit lower, but not that low. The airport was 3 miles away. Crazy.

I got my thermal waffle shirt. It's rather thin. It's made of polyester, rayon, and spandex. Not like those thick white ones my dad used to wear. It looks nice though! I love the waffle texture. Maybe I'll try a different brand with cotton in it.

N NY cat man Miss Eleanor may be trying to make her own thread! Lol Banjo likes to grab anything I use to write with and she tries to steal my phone. Wait.... not try, she does steal the phone. Lol At least a pad is harder to carry off.

Callie has a boy friend! Lol She hid in the closet with him today. Maybe it is motherly protection though. That smell is everywhere but I have air purifiers running. Both ends of the house has hiding cats.
Spicy desert? Hmmm. Have to think about that. I’ve cream with peppers?
Glad your shirt looks nice. Maybe something thicker would be warmer though. Sounds pretty neat!

Banjo kept calling me today.She was in the laundry room. I went and looked and she came running to me. What could be happening in there? Lol Hmmm.

I took a light bulb and put it in a fixture to try and see what I was missing. Banjo was insistent! ( note that her fairy cat mother must have joined us at top left. The light bulb was reflecting lower)

I got the look of frustration. Don’t you see it human?

I’ll call it! Seriously mom! Do something!

(I did not see and after getting a chair, going over cabinets, in them and under them, I was giving up until Banjo yelled at me. ) She meant for me to pay attention and I did.

I released him and he was missing the tip of his tail, was a bit dehydrated but otherwise, okay. He went straight for the water and food I put out.

Mamanyt1953 I wonder if we will ever be told. The news here rarely ever makes the actual news. There may have been a tanker wreck or something. If it weren’t for the smell, I would have thought it another small earthquake. It could have been something on the river too. I have learned more about what goes on around here from eyewitness, others on Facebook and Twitter than I ever hear or read on the news. There was a three car wreck in front of my house some weeks ago and the driver of one car fled on foot. Not one word on the news and my neighbors and I watched the whole thing. The poor neighbors granddaughter was so scared the other night she was trembling. Perhaps something went wrong on the military base. That would be kept quiet. We did make the news once when the state bureau got involved. I am guessing some kind of wreck. We get heavily loaded trucks constantly here. I haven’t found a single thing that even refers to the public questioning or reporting it. Hopefully, that means it is over.

Banjo and lizards and frogs, O MY!

Well, another little stranger showed up at the 2 AM front door feeding (Scamper prefers to eat at the front door where I can sit and pat him while he eats). About half-grown, and beautiful, but very skittish. a torbico gal. I've named her Spooky. She watch with utter fascination as I stroked Scamper and gave him ear rubs. I'm hoping she comes again when he's there, and will learn through watching that she is safe with me.

There should be an investigation to what caused the loud boom and horrid smell. Perhaps a call to EPA is in order. Sorry you have to go through this.
Banjo is making new friends, I see. Lol. Thankfully, you got the lizard to a safer location. One of my backyard kitties has been a terror all week with his hunting. He keeps bringing his "presents" to me.. I am putting more toys on my deck in hope that it will hold his interest and no more hunting. He is driving me crazy!

Mamanyt1953 It seems that there were reports all the way North in the state. No ones knows what it was but there are natural things , like swamp gases that can erupt (Without flame) and cause similar sounds.

Something bit Purry! I made an early morning pickup at the vet office for antibiotics. He had dashed out the door and to the greenhouse. I heard him holler! I thought that maybe a feral cat swatted him but later today, I got bitten or stung too. Right in the stomach. I don’t know what it was but it is very painful and is causing a lot of swelling. I was wearing two shirts! I have given Purry his meds and I am going to take an antihistamine and go to bed.
Still... a smile post. Lol

Has anyone else had problems accessing this site? I haven't had to log in or use a password in over a year, but tonight I couldn't get on, and of course I had forgotten my password. The gyrations I had to go through! It appears to be cleared up now, at least for the time being.

I hope Mr. Purry is okay and that he doesn't give you a hard time when you give him his antibiotics. Also, I hope that you don't have a reaction from what ever stung you.

Yay! Another lizard saved from Banjo and this time Purry. I will be leaving toys on the deck and I do play with wands(feather, insect, etc). I even play with the other backyard kitties, even the most shy cat out of the bunch joins in. I hope the male kitty calms down soon. I so sick of cleaning up his "presents". Well have a goodnight. Talk to you soon again.

I had tried to log in the other day and had a problem. I got a weird message that said I have been redirected numberous times. I ignored the message and logged in one more time and got in. I think that was a weird glitch. I notified a staff member and she didn't know what that msg was and asked me if it happened again to send her a screen shot of it.
I also asked her why I keep getting logged out of the website, even when I checked the stay logged in box. She said that is tied to cookies, if you delete cookies, you will no longer be logged in to the site. This is the case with me.

Whenallhellbreakslose Poor Purry! His ear got hurt. At first I thought it a bite but now I wonder if we were both stung by hornets or something. His ear is swollen and painful. I think he has a single mark. Hard to tell on black fur that won’t sit still. There is fluid or swelling and his ear is hot. It may abscess. The vet was great to take my emergency call. She left medicine and an ice pack in a drop box for me. She didn’t need to see him at this point since we have dealt with bites and scratches many times. She knows I am watching him closely. I’ll hear from the on Monday. If he get worse, I’ll call again. I love this vet! If I could, I’d go to her for my bites!’lol If the same thing got us both, Purry is really hurting. He slept nearly all day in a room I cleared so he could be alone. He finally came out and got into his favorite carrier to be near the rest of us. He is eating and all but I can tell that he hurts.He is good about taking his medicine but it’s tricky to avoid holding his head near his ear to do it. Poor kitty!

Purry is in good hands and thankfully you got your vet to give you meds right away and you don't have too much difficulty giving it to him . This swelling will probably go down in a few days. I hope you are okay as well. Take it easy.
