Is anyone else dreaming more than usual? Every morning when I wake up now, I’m in the middle of a dream. They aren’t nightmares, but neither are they very positive or happy. And I feel so tired when I wake up. Coffee perks me up and I’m okay during the day. Just anxious, probably like a lot of you.

My South Dakota friend lives in Mitchell and has said they have a lot of people coming into town from Sioux Falls because they are afraid of getting sick in Sioux Falls. But as many aren't following guidelines and are largely doing things like normal (according to her) it really just means that they'll probably bring even more cases to her town.

I'm in NE Kansas and I have no idea what the toilet paper situation is. I bought a 12 pack a month ago and it's just me so I'll be fine. I haven't been shopping in almost a month. My parents are doing grocery pickups and they got a few things for me with their last trip, but really just things I wanted; I won't starve for awhile.

California, no clue on toilet paper. I got 48 rolls just before things went sideways and haven't been in a store since (subscription service I was trying out, good timing).

My cities fire department has a dispatch person who is coordinating requests for birthday wishes. The fire truck will come by and they sing happy birthday. No age restrictions but it has to be the actual birthday.

I have plenty of toilet paper, 34 of the mega rolls. It is just me so it will be many months before I need toilet paper again. I don't usually buy those big mega packs but that is all they have in the stores here. I didn't even know that they made packs of 24 mega rolls but that is all the store had. I just started a mega roll of paper towels and 4 more left so I am good there for awhile. The last time I was in the store they actually had some disinfectant as well. They didn't have any of those handy towelettes but they had spray cleaner and bottles of cleaner. I still have plenty so I didn't buy any.

Same here, California, I don't know if there's TP in the stores or not. I buy eco-TP :) and had just got a delivery of 48 rolls before this started so I don't have to worry about it for awhile.

I've always dreamt and weird too since 1955. I love nightmares. They give me ideas for short stories to write. I actually am sleeping better lately since no one is outside making noise.

I do miss the lysol (and off brand) wipes. They are nearly impossible to find, but I use them for wiping down my counters and cleaning my bathroom. I have a supply that I already had before this all started but it'll be no fun to run out when I do. I have a few rolls of paper towels left but I don't use those frequently so I'll be fine.

Another thing I miss is the Lysol disinfectant for washing clothes. I haven't been able to find it. I used to use it just for washing my dog's belly bands (he's a marker so wears them if I'm going to be gone longer than a few hours) but started using it for washing things like sheets and towels too, but am about to run out of what I have.

EDIT: I've always dreamed but I take Prozac now and have dreams every single night, very vivid ones. I still get good sleep, but it's like watching a movie every night and I usually remember them in the morning too.

I am. And mine aren't nightmares either, but the ones I remember, though typically weird as dreams tend to be, also have some reference to the current situation in them.

I always dream, in color, like films, with plots, very vividly. I guess being from CATifornia might influence that. As for TP, I buy the multi-paks and I have about 5 rolls left, which will last me at least 5 weeks, so I haven't even been looking for it or noticing if there is any. I only shop at one store. But I could probably get it online from Staples or Walgreens if necessary. Both of those are good places for break room supplies -- coffee, tea, sugar, etc., -- and TP. Just in case anyone is looking. What I want is a spray bottle so I can knock up some bleach/water solution. I prefer that to the ready-made cleaners. In the meantime, I use Comet, which has bleach, to clean counters and it has the added benefit of scrubbing the tiles and grout pretty well.
I hadn't heard of the birthday parades. Mine was in March so I can't get one. :sigh: It's a great idea, though.

I just read this off of one of the sites I look to for updates. I thought this was pretty interesting. Kinda obvious that air pollution contributes to lung issues but non the less, the statistics are quite dramatic.

"Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) pollution [learn more] "may be one of the most important contributors to fatality caused by the COVID-19" a recent study [source] found after analyzing death cases from 66 administrative regions in Italy, Spain, France, and Germany. "Results show that out of the 4443 fatality cases, 3487 (78%) were in five regions located in north Italy and central Spain. Additionally, the same five regions show the highest NO2 concentrations combined with downwards airflow which prevent an efficient dispersion of air pollution. These results indicate that the long-term exposure to this pollutant may be one of the most important contributors to fatality caused by the COVID-19 virus in these regions and maybe across the whole world." [source]

  • 83% of all fatalities (3701 cases) occurred in regions where the maximum NO2 concentration was above 100 μmol/m2
  • 15.5% (691 cases) occurred in regions where the maximum NO2 concentration was between 50 and 100 μmol/m2
  • 1.5% of all fatalities (51 cases) occurred in regions where the maximum NO2 concentration was below 50 μmol/m2
It shall be noted that there are other potentially decisive factors, such as a higher population density or a higher rate of international travel, that are also typical characteristics of urban areas, in addition to higher levels of pollution."

Yes, mine are the same. And they’re adding to my overall sense of unease. Furballsmom Furballsmom often recommends chamomile tea for anxious kitties and humans, and I have some Stash chamomile tea in the cabinet. I’m going to have a cup later today.

Maybe, but unfortunately, those are factors we have little or no control over.

Have you ever tried to learn lucid dreaming? While everyone is having these dreams this is a perfect time to learn how to lucid dream. And lucid dreams can help with so many things. So if you find a dream unsettling you can change the dream, make the decision to ride it out and see what lessons are there for you or even astral project. If you're learning a new skill you can practice that in your LD. I'm a huge fan of dreams and it's one of my passions. :)

We ran out of lysol wipes a week ago. Obviously there is no hand sanitizers or rubbing alcohol here. But because I use rubbing alcohol to clean the litter boxes, I had a case on hand when this started.

I stuck a jammed paper towels into the lysol wipe tube/bottle thing. Then soaked in with alcohol. DIY lysol wipes.

I miss bread. I tried making my own, yeast is sold out everywhere too, but I have a ton of baking soda (also for cleaning up after cats) Ive made soda bread, its edible ...not good

I have a recipe called Quick and Easy Drop Biscuits that my mom gave me years ago. They use baking powder. Very tasty. Let me know if you want the recipe and I’ll PM you!

I've never "learned" it, but always done it. I'm always aware that I am dreaming and have many repeating dreams. One favorite from my childhood is that I would levitate and just float around the neighborhood, being a voyeur into people's back yards. :insertevillaugh::shocked:

The funniest thing I ever did in a lucid dream was tell the characters they were dream characters. The looks I got from them lol

I would take you up on it if I had Baking powder, butter, eggs, or milk.

I had kosher seasalt, because I use it when my aquarium fish get sick.
I have baking soda, because I sprinkle some on the cat litter everyday.
I have vinegar, to clean up cat pee when the boys overshoot the litterbox.
I had flour, because I mix it with boric acid to poison the wood boring beetles that eat away at the house every spring.
None of my bread ingredients were ever used in the kitchen before covid:flail:

Try sourdough bread. No yeast, baking powder, eggs or milk is needed. The foodies over on Foodie's Corner can give you a recipe for starter.
