Tuna and noodles for Saturday night supper; Rick just loves my tuna and noodles. With chocolate brownies for dessert. I so need something, anything in the form of chocolate. I'm about ready to tear into a bag of chocolate morsels!

We're going out for dinner to celebrate our 50th,but I can tell you I already know what we're having....Jack Daniel's ribeye,a baked sweet potato with a streusel topping,a big side salad to split (theirs are huge) and he'll probably have corn and I'll have green beans. For dessert, this morning I made an Emeril's banana cream pie,so there ya go!

Happy Anniversary!

For lunch I had the same veggie sandwich as yesterday, but used a sliced boiled egg instead of the chickpeas, and I used a different hot sauce. It wasn't as good as yesterday.

For dinner I had 2 slices of pumpkin flavored french toast with cinnamon honey butter on top. I put one of those little cups of diced mango on top. It was good!

Happy 50th Anniversary! :beerchug: Enjoy your special celebration.

Since I had a late lunch I'm making a big salad for dinner. I bought a lot of fresh produce yesterday so no skimping on the veggies.;)
Thank you so much!We did have a wonderful time and the food was outstanding! We brought a lot of it home...great lunch for tomorrow!

Well, I was missing on Mon, Tue, and Wed due to our quarterly inspection...which I passed with flying colors, although the broken toe complained the entire time I cleaned. Then, Thursday morning I went to do my monthly shopping. All was well until a small, adorable tyke dropped a large can of peaches on the broken toe. I squalled like a mating queen cat, and promptly tossed my cookies on the floor at Walmart. A VERY nice young man was dispatched to deal with it, and, once he knew I wasn't sick with Coronavirus, became very solicitous and sent someone to get a bottle of cold water for me. I had the concentration left (barely) to grab a deli roast beef and cheese sandwich for my supper last night, and spent the evening icing my toe...AGAIN! I think it is better today, I can walk very carefully, but it looks like a sausage. Which is only fair, since Vienna sausages look like toes.

Tonight...chicken and rice soup from a can, same as last night. I am NOT ready to stand up and cook anything yet!

The stuff I call dinner sometimes, really! A huge handful of hydroponically grown yellow and red cherry tomatoes I get from the winter farmer's market here in Reno where hardly anything grows at this time of the year unless its in a greenhouse, a big chunk of sourdough artisan bread (also from the farmer's market) with lots of butter, a glass of Pinot Grigio Two Buck Chuck from Trader Joe's, two pieces of dark chocolate for desert. No protein but I had a piece of homemade pizza earlier in the day so it makes up for it. Also had an egg and hash browns with a glass of milk for breakfast so I think I had enough protein for one day.

lizzie lizzie A very Happy Anniversary! :celebrate:

I'm rolling and stuffing a pork roast for Sunday dinner. Probably mashed potatoes and gravy. And pineapple stuffing, which is simply a casserole; Rick dearly loves pineapple stuffing (he says it almost passes as a dessert in itself). Along with a bit of salad. Simple ice cream for dessert.

I'm so sorry for you and your broken toe. 😟 I sincerely hope you are able to nurse it back to health with lots of TLC. :hugs:

No clue what's for dinner tonight since the weather is exceptionally nice today and I can't think that far ahead.

Dinner. Heck, I just finished breakfast which was my usual boring egg over easy with half an English muffin, toasted. BUT, I also had a whole avocado mashed onto a slice of sourdough bread so I am so full I can't even think about dinner. But I have vague thoughts of curried rice with some some roasted chicken from the freezer, put some curry on that too and make a little sauce. Hmm, what about veggies? I'll think about that later, maybe something will come to me. I'll skip lunch as I am too full from breakfast. Maybe some more tomatoes and a slice of bread and butter and some orange juice. Yeah, that sounds good. Maybe too much acid and I'll have some hot cocoa instead, it's pretty cold in here (yeah, yeah, those of you who are used to cold weather think that 50 is warm and you walk around in shorts while I am freezing with layers of clothes and thick socks in my fuzzy slippers and the heater cranked up to 75!)

I took out the meal kit's huge beef and broccoli stir fry from the freezer. Looks are deceiving: it's mostly rice and veggies (carrots, broccoli), and way way too much onion. I recently discovered that I have a sensitivity to onion. I had another meal from the kit that had a lot of onions and I developed weird pimple-like bumps on the weirdest parts of my body 😮 Plus there was some general tummy issues 😳 I'm going to add onion to the allergies section of my preferences for the meal kit.
