I've been reading some of Amazon Kindle's free books and I have to say that they're pretty darn crappy. I finished the Haunting at the Sebring Hotel and I would believe it was written by somebody in high school and that might be too mature. I would have been very upset had I had to pay for this book.
A really good Kindle book is The Quiet Ones by Betsy Revely It's only $2.99 to buy but I read it for free because I have Kindle Unlimited. I pay $ 10.00 per month and have a lot of great choices.

So far, the first chapter covers the early yeats of his career. If I am in there, it will be a reference to State inventory. It is just neat learning stuff about Dr. Maples thatI never knew. He has a MA as well as his PhD. He never talked down to me, even though a lot of departments hated Property Division.

I've wondered about subscribing to this. I wish they had some sort of a package price on their kindle and audibles.

I think they do. Sometimes I get a free audible just for being a Kindle member.

I finished All She Ever Wanted by Lynn Austin, our Book Of The Month Club - October 2019 read.

So now I'm about to start The Testaments by Margaret Atwood

I was lucky, in that my library only got the ebook 2 days ago, and though I didn't get one of the first 20 copies, I was # 2 waiting, and it became available today. Right now there's 470 people waiting!

My library also got The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates, and I'm # 1 in line for that one. But I've suspended my hold, until I'm ready to read it.

I finished all the Cookbook Nook books I had, and am currently reading "Booking the Crook," the latest of the Bookmobile Cat series. I adore Eddie, who always seems to say "Mrr." Since that's Hek's favorite vocalization, it is endearing.

I've been into Sophie Kinsella's books lately and am currently reading Remember Me?. Before that I read The Winter Children by Lulu Taylor. I volunteer at a charity shop and there are often lots of good books for sale, so I've been buying a lot of paperbacks lately and also older titles that I've always been meaning to get around into reading.

Now don't laugh but because of another book I'm reading;), I downloaded some Nancy Drew Mysteries!!
I won't laugh at you over Nancy Drew if you don't laugh at me over Trixie Belden! I always liked Trixie better. Nancy was a little prissy for me (a function of when the books were written, I'm sure), and the way she treated Ned was just horrid. Poor Ned.

Currently, I'm reading Mary Stewart's "The Stormy Petrel." Somehow, in all these years, I had managed to miss this one! And it is the ONLY book of hers that I haven't yet read.

I enjoyed "Booking the Crook" a lot, but the adventures of Eddie the Bookmobile Cat always make me giggle.

No laughing from me, as I used to love Nancy Drew books. As well as The Bobbsey Twins when I was even younger.

Which Nancy Drew books did you download?

She's the "shopaholic" author, right?
