I made those exact same cats for a co-worker's birthday last month :D

I didn't even follow the suggested directions or the picture. I made all the cats unique and one special one in the likeness of the co-worker's cat :agree:
Love them! Wish I'd given mine more expressive faces now, but I'm pretty proud of my snowshoe nonetheless.

There's a string in the kit so I can either string them all together as a garland, keep them separate on tables or string some and table some. I'll decide the day of the shower.
They're outstanding! I like the idea of a garland but, of course, it's your decision and waiting for the day of your shower is a good idea.

That feeling when you go for your first fitting after not having seen your dress since February and because it's a sample off that rack and at least four sizes too big you're basically swimming in it and looking terrible and wondering if you made the right choice and praying it looks better once tailored.

:yeah: :sigh:

I mailed my wedding invitations out today.

Tomorrow's my shower and I think I'm going to use this old calming face mask I got a couple Christmases ago from a Secret Santa this evening to help me not worry too much. I still feel anxious when I picture how I looked in my dress on Thursday - it was just so huge, but I'm trying to tell myself to trust the tailor and hopefully I won't look so awful in a month once it's my size.

I don't think you need to worry about the dress. I've had dresses altered and they've looked really good when they've been done. Remember, no one is exactly the same shape as anyone else, so having a dress altered just for you means it will fit you far better than anything in the "right size" that you got off the peg.

Enjoy your shower.

Thanks guys. I think it's just has to be taken in so much vs just a little bit, it's hard to believe that the dress can survive that and still look like it's supposed to, but I guess I should just trust the experts. And I have a lot of self-esteem issues about my looks and I really want to be beautiful on my wedding day.

The lavender face mask was nice!

I had fun at the shower! One of my friends didn't make it, because she apparently fell down the stairs and was at the hospital, but she's going to be okay, and that's the important thing!

We put the kitties on the tables, and a few people ended up taking a kitty home.

We had a flan instead of a cake. It was so good.

Guys, I got a scratching post, a scratching mat, cat food, and a napkin holder with a cat on it in that pile of stuff. I'd say people know me.

So I met with the wedding person at church tonight and figured out our processional order, volunteered a couple people to be ushers (hope they don't mind - but their main job is opening the door for me in back of the church, so not a big deal) and what readings I want/who's reading them, things like that. So yay for another thing being done.

Our First Reading is Song of Songs 2:8-10, 14, 16a; 8:6-7a (wow, they must have picked and chose verses there - I got the reading out of a book)

Second Reading is 1 Corinthians 12:31-13:8a, which is probably overused, but for good reason.

And my Gospel will be John 2:1-11 (Wedding of Cana)

I finished writing out my thank you cards from my shower but don't have enough stamps, so I'll have to buy more. I'm pretty sure I'm single-handedly keeping the post office in business right now.
