Have no friends and no job so cycling is the one time I'm able to just be free and explore my city.
Would it make it any easier if you had someone to cycle with? Are there any cycle groups in your city that you could do short bike rides with?

The other day when it was hot even inside I turned the ac down just while I worked out because 2 fans weren't cutting it
It's still cool enough to turn the heat on after dark here.

Only 40 minutes yoga today, but I spent about four hours cleaning and decluttering. My closet is half empty now.

morning ladies-been awhile since logged on.

Remember last winter the foot pain?? The insoles FINALLY working!! So yes slow and steady! Don't be a dummy like I was and try to do too much! I was moving 100lbs in 2017 when I injured my right foot-I was at 40lbs for my calve raises and I was too lazy to go to the proper machine for that exercise..it took a week to start to feel the pain..and here we are..almost 2 years. So yes I finally can walk a bit. I can't do a mile yet but hell walking 2 blocks is a gain for me!

Graceful-Lily Graceful-Lily sounds like you are doing too much too fast. When I started on my exercise plan in 2015 I only did 15 minutes at a time. It takes a good 4 weeks for our bodies to adjust to these changes. I wonder if you can just figure out how far you can get in 10 minutes. In my neighborhood it's 2 miles. Then I turn around. If I go slow it takes 30 minutes to do 4 miles. But try just riding out 10 minutes then turn around. Also try to drink Gatorade or other replacement drink AFTER your workout. Sounds like you may not have enough salt or other electrolytes that leach out when we sweat heavily. Don't forget to rest a day then do another ride. THe down time is important to our bodies to reboot.

I have been slowly getting back into working out. We had a ton of snow and ice this winter-they don't plow very well, so I didn't ride until March and was only once a week. I did go to the gym 2 nights a week. I was battling a bout of depression and spent too much time on my back reading...now the spring is here and gardening season is here.

Yes Gardening is hard work. Even just leaning over and pulling weeds out is good back stretching and thigh stretching exercise. The constant getting down then up is also exercise.

Glad to see my favorite ladies posting here! Loved the horse ride Norachan Norachan !

This past weekend worked in the warehouse at work moving racks and cleaning up junk. It was hot sweaty work and didn't bring my bike to that location-usually ride on my lunch break. I rode yesterday and looks like today I will ride again. I also have a huge project for my garden-I went nuts and bid on too many plants on Ebay so going to be transplanting baby plants into 4" pots to sell at work-if they don't sell I am going to take them to the Flea market where I used to set up 7 years ago. So this month will be lots of work! Glad to have time to post here again! I missed everyone!

Nice to have you back with us foxxycat foxxycat

:welcomeback2:

I'm glad those insoles are finally giving you a bit of relief. It seems like the problem was going on for ages, so it must feel great to finally feel some results.

Yep, gardening is work! I think I burn off most of my calories either gardening or cleaning.

Yesterday was really hectic so I didn't have time to do anything, but today I did an hour of yoga and walked for an hour. I think I've finally got all the closets and storage spaces in the house sorted out to.

In my next life I want to live on a ranch and spend all day with animals.
Yeah, that would be a good life.

:cloud9:

I did 90 minutes of yoga and about an hour of yard work on Friday. Saturday was a 90 minute walk. Today 1 hour of yoga and a 1 hour walk. I'd planned to take a longer walk today but the sky has turned very black so I took the short route home before the rain started.

At least I won't have to water the garden today.

Ah, another week has gone past!

:runaround:

I did 90 minutes of yoga on Monday.
Tuesday was my chores day, just a lot of cleaning and a 20 minute bike ride.
Wednesday was 1 hour of yoga and a 1 hour walk.
Thursday just an hour of yoga.
Friday was an hour each of yoga, walking and yard work.

My garden is looking lovely now. Everything appreciated the horse poop I hauled back and spread over the flower beds.

Not much to post from my end. It's been wet and cool, so I've been a couch potato. And my garden looks like everything wants to crawl back into the ground. Next week is looking warmer, but still 2 days of rain. :sigh:

I have slacked so bad lately. Yesterday I got my 3 miles in but it had been over 2 weeks! :paperbag: Thankfully we only have 5 days of school left! So I can get my days back a little.

Today we kayaked a nature preserve. It was my first time solo kayaking and my first time out at all in 6 years!! It took me a few minutes to remember how to paddle but DH never had to tow me. :lol2: Can I just whine a little? ...the ouches. I have them. :cringe:Shoulders, thumbs. Biceps. And various other muscles. I'm going to get gloves like my DH has for sun protection for next time. I think I won't get blisters that way. At least I have been working out because it would probably be worse right? lol :disturbed:

But it was fun and gorgeous out. We saw a few bald eagles and various other birds. I ate a bug.:angrywoman::barfgreen: It wasn't even buggy but I inhaled and he bounced off a tonsil before I knew what happened. :help:

Other than that it was perfect and we will be out again soon! After I recover from today. ;)

I've been kayaking a few times, so I can appreciate what hard work that was MoochNNoodles MoochNNoodles

Must have been great to see an eagle!

rubysmama rubysmama The monsoon is heading my way, I'm hoping to get a few more walks and maybe another ride in before it hits.

I was chained to my desk for most of yesterday, but got two 45 minute yoga sessions in between classes.

We just went out for a better paddle for me and a waterproof case/bag thing for my phone. It took 2 advil liquid gels for me to get myself into bed but I feel less sore today. It'll work itself out. It's definitely good exercise! Watching wildlife is good distraction from the fact that you are exercising! :p I used Google maps to determine we paddled about 3.2miles. Maybe a little ambitious for a first time out? :lol2:

I managed a whole 90 minutes of yoga on Sunday. Monday I actually had time to leave the house, so walked for 90 minutes and did an hour of yoga. Tuesday just 45 minutes yoga, Wednesday was an hour of yoga and 20 minutes bike ride.

I went horse riding today. 90 minutes ride followed by 40 minutes yoga.

This is Sakie. She's small, but very strong. I'm glad I wore my gloves, because she likes to fling her head around and try to race the other horses. I'm sure I'd have a few blisters if I hadn't been wearing gloves.

She's got some pretty colors
She's beautiful.
She is gorgeous!
Thank you! She's a roan, which means she has a short chestnut coat with long white guard hairs over that. She's in the middle of losing her winter coat at the moment. She can look like a different horse depending on the time of year.

This is a picture taken at the end of summer a few years ago.

I was kind of stiff today, but I felt better after yoga. 1 hour of yoga, 90 minutes walk and about an hour pottering around the garden today.

Congratulations on those 20 million steps Winchester. That's amazing!

I had a busy weekend, but I did about an hour of yoga Saturday and Sunday after work. Monday I walked for an hour and did 90 minutes yoga.

Today I went for a two hour hike through the woods. It was a bit wet, but very fresh and green in the forest. A few pictures.

The trail came out in a wild bird park. They weren't that wild!
