People can be puzzling sometimes :headscratch: I was returning home from work today and it was about a 20 minute wait for the third bus I needed to take. There was a guy already waiting at the bus stop and he was grumbling and swearing to himself (I hope) about how slow the buses were. I guess he had been waiting awhile. It can be 40 minutes between buses on this particular route on weekends:cringe: So 20 minutes or so later the bus shows up. We get on and the bus trundles along. Literally 30 second later, the bus stops at the next stop to pick someone up. And the grumbling, swearing guy got off. Really??? He could have walked the two blocks to the next bus stop in less than 3 minutes instead of getting pissed off at the bus being slow and waiting for 20+ minutes. :nono:

One of my cordless honeycomb shades won't go up:cringe: I heard a click when I pulled the shade down last night but didn't think much of it. This morning the shade went up maybe 4 inches before it stopped. Hopefully I can reset the mechanism myself with the help of online videos... and not break anything in the process :crossfingers:

With the return of milder weather, Michele likes to have the windows open, but she worries about the cats pushing out the screens and getting loose. She is very good at thinking up projects for me, so she wanted inner screens , but she wanted them so that the cats could still have room to sit on the sill. I just installed the first 2, and the cats seem to like them, and we can still close the lower sash without removing the inners. Whew! Only 5 more to go!

That sounds like a good idea. Maybe I could talk my cheap landlord into buying some...or not.

No go with fixing the shade with online instructional videos :ohwell: I think the mechanism is broken. I contacted Levolor but they want a copy of the receipt and order number. I bought the shades about 9 years ago from Lowes as a custom order. I don't have the receipt anymore. I'll have to find a local window shade company to fix it.
