Precious was adopted by one of my cat sitters yesterday. I had planned to keep her myself, but seeing their bond I couldn't say no when she asked about taking her home. I know she'll be spoiled and pampered like she deserves.

Cerulean and the kittens are doing great, but one of them is a total camera hog.

My friends and I are turning my guest house into a rescue center. My mom used to live in it until she moved back to Amsterdam in June. My vet called on Friday asking me about fostering some more cats, so come Tuesday I'll be taking in two more mama cats and their kittens. With it being myself and five others involved in this, three of which are in Orlando full time instead of having to leave for work like I do, every kitty will be well taken care of. I'll keep this thread updated with pictures of them once they arrive.

Hello My Friends
Ginger and I have been enjoying this thread, who wouldn't enjoy pictures and stories of kittens? So. here is one of my very favorite photos of Ginger. This was taken at her foster home the first day I saw her. She was something else. I'm sure I have posted this photo before but as I said it is one of my favorites:)

She looked so feisty! No wonder you wanted to bring her home. :)

They're getting more precious everyday. Tommy and I are struggling not to name them because once you do, they aren't going anywhere. We haven't picked out the kitten we're keeping yet, we'll let it pick us.
Haha I went through that when I initially took in my black cats and the plan was not to keep them, but it was kitten season and they had nowhere to go, so I was working with a rescue and fostering them. I once day realized I had names IF they were to be named, but I didn't call them anything. Then one had to go to the vet and they asked what her name was and I hesitated and they told me just put anything and I said no, she has a name... it was all over after that lol. Now Jade is on the couch across from me :)

That's so sweet that you let Precious go with the sitter, I must say her little squishy face looks very content with her...
And that's exciting about starting a rescue! Of course we will need to see all the cats :)

ans5181 ans5181 Growing up all I ever wanted to do is work in the profession I'm in and help animals, so it's a bit exciting to be able to do both. I'll more than likely overload all of you with pictures. Just sayin'.

Really enjoying all the kitty pics, and excited to see your new fosters when you get them, too! I wish I could contribute to the thread, but I got Juniper at 8 months old and full grown, and Gwen's kitten pics are all terrible, since they were taken with an old non-digital camera and everything came out really blurry.

I love the name Cerulean. Have you ever seen the X-Files episode called "Pusher"? Might be worth a look if you haven't....there are some good moments featuring your kitty's name.

Why do I picture myself doing that?

One set the fosters and her kittens are already here. I'll get pictures of them as soon as everyone settles down. Since we're up to seven volunteers now, we're taking in two more mama cats with their litters and a solo kitten who needs extra care because he once was and maybe still is a failure to thrive case.

I have seen seen the episode, I really love that show. The name suggestion actually came from somewhere in here and in my opinion, it just suited her.
