Hi All,
My husband and I will be leaving soon to travel to Europe to visit his family for Christmas. In doing so we will need to leave our cat home I am SO sad to be leaving him and we have lined up lots of help but my anxiety is also through the roof! We've left him for weekends with people stopping to feed him as well as for a week while on our honeymoon. During our week long vacation, my sister would come to the house and spend 2-3 hours a day studying or just being around and he did fine.
For our 2 week trip we have the following planned:
--Sister to spend the night 3-4 nights over the 14 day period.
--Family and close friends stopping in daily to feed him and occasionally hang our for an hour or two. (They will also be checking his litter and water and feeding him some of his favorite wet food ha!)
--Dry food is always out in a little dispenser for him and we give him small portion of wet food as a "treat." Our visitors will be providing this as well.
--We also have security cameras that double as my kitty cams
I feel like I am as prepared as can be but still so worried since he is such a loving and social cat -- (my natural anxiety doesn't help the situation).
I guess I just need the reassurance that everything with be OK and that he won't be too lonely...
Thanks in advance!
**I should also note that my husband and I do work outside of the home and are often busy on the weekends. So it's not like we are constantly with him each day**
