Apparently the girls can share today!

Today's my dad's birthday so we're going over for dinner later. Right now I'm enjoying a lazy, rainy Saturday with S as my bff for the next hour until it's gushy food time. And I'm almost done with laundry! That's also pawsitive.

Why don't you put a sign in your yard, right next to the one about coats, stating "NO ENTRY WITHOUT LARGE PIZZA"? *Sometimes you have to whack people with a 2x4 to get 'em to wake up, yunno?*
I like mine with pineapple and jalapenos. That would be PAWSitive for me.:yummy:
tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 - I shouldn't complain too much; he usually shows up with a pizza or wings or a dozen Founders Chocolate Stouts. I'll bet that a lot of veterinarians just bring their clients domestic beer when they make a Saturday house call.

Just back inside from a lovely walk in the woods in late-Summer temperatures. If you have the time - get outside into the fresh air today; it might be the most pawsitive thing you could do for yourself!

Yes, even though my yards are a far, far cry from my desert Paradise, I make the best of what I have at any given time, and I do enjoy being out among the plants.

That's chocolate beer??? Strange. I don't use alcohol at all so I don't know what people do in those areas.

My big blue laptop just jumped down. He is PAWSitive he wants lunch. So we'll see what we can find!:cutecat:

Good heavens, look at all that lovely stone! ~drools lightly on the keyboard~

Pawsitive...the bed is coming! THe one I wanted is a special order, but it is coming, and they will haul the old one, concrete blocks and all, away!

Thought about this old song last night...the pawsitive message it sent saw me through some hard days of bullying.

If they do get deleted, that's fine, but you mentioned give a prayer, take a prayer, and to me that's positive enough. :grouphug:
This is as corny as a bowl of corn sitting in popcorn, sitting in a bowl made of corn chips, sitting in a corn field in the middle of the corn belt, but here ya go.

It may be corny, but it's still good advice. We can't control what happens in life, but we CAN control our response to it! And that is very pawsitive, indeed!

Yes we sure can! Getting there is the hardest part, accepting that we can't control everything but our own responses and actions but I do find that to be one of the most pawsitive things you could wish for. It's one hell of a burden off of us, and when people do things to be stupid or act like jerks to us or whatever, we can sleep at night because we know we did nothing to deserve it. It's a learning experience and that's what it's all about.
Pretend this is me, delivering a nice happy life lesson and singing real nice.

Stop laughing.

1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine im glad Miro is in good health, and that you have a great vet to check up on her pretty little neck! If your autumn is any kind of preview of what we will have, I can't wait!

@foxxycat I love mid century furniture, too! Most of what I have now is that era, although I had a gorgeous 30s bedroom set which I sold before the move to someone more capable of repairing its many problems. All the rest is fairly mid century, though, and restored and found by either my husband or I. I think I'm going to have the basement floor be the fun 50s stuff, and try to find some older vintage pieces for upstairs. I love going to estate sales, antique malls, flea markets, Craigslist surfing, etc. My husband and I actually met working at a vintage shop: he was restoring furniture and I was selling clothing, so we both have fun doing that. So far we've found a lot of great things, but we have a pretty specific idea in mind for this house, so nothing exactly perfect. Still, the selection of antique choices is top-notch in the Midwest! Found another fun cat on our adventures today:

M maggiedemi i love Blondie. This is one of my favorite songs of hers:

It is incredibly upbeat and PAWsitive - I bet you can't listen to Debbie Harry and not want to dance!

@raysmyheart- may you always have people around you to give you a hug and to listen when you need to talk
Yes, exactly :yeah:

That's chocolate beer???
The home-brew fad has gone big these past few years, and there are some AMAZING flavors being added to the hops/brew process. Maybe the most difficult one to make is a stout, --as in an honest to goodness Guinness … :drinking:

On the other hand, if one is a purist, ya could say "...the heck??! if you wanna drink beer, drink BEER" LOL. I do love a nice cold PBR (Pabst Blue Ribbon) or Coors Light :beerchug:

Good heavens, look at all that lovely stone
Isn't that the truth - what a fabulous photo with those white clouds - nice composition, gorgeous color. WOW, thanks for sharing that 1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine - made my day just looking at it

Positive, The Cat has been feeling VERY full of P and V (P__s and Vinegar LOL) - it's so much fun to see him when he's like this :cloud9: so although there isn't a weather change forecast, he likely knows something they don't :cool2:

Another cute one to hopefully make you smile.
What's more positive than being brave? This kitten tried really hard, and looked damned cute while doing it.
We have a remote controlled mouse that no longer works, and most of our kittens have reacted like this to it. It makes me laugh and smile, because they seem to feel they're mighty wild cats leaping from mountain top to mountain top after a rabid gazelle, when in reality it's a toy mouse being controlled by one of us and they go about 2 inches into the air.
But not Baby Girl. She dove in and savaged it, picked it up while it's little wheels were buzzing in protest and carried it off to her little ex pen and then proceeded to beat the crap out of it. I think the only thing that kept her alive until we found (really thin, really sick) her was tenacity. She was just too stubborn to die.
Did you notice the part when I said the mouse no longer works? Simple addition from the information here will tell you why. :flail:

Really like the videos -- wasn't familiar with JMMontgomery, but the song reminds me of a poem my beloved Sis wrote called "The Dance" which was a similar thought, really. She was one of the most positive people.
Bobby McFerrin is one of my favorite artists, and this is a great song. Listen to the lyrics. There is a lot of wisdom therein.
@raysmyheart, of course I'm not sure what the matter might be, and of course, not all things can be remedied by just dismissing them. But I do offer a Prayer for you and hope that your heartache will soon be lightened somehow. We all have them, that is a fact. May you get plenty of the best "medicine" of all -- C.A.T. (Cat-Assisted Therapy) -- unconditional loyalty and love, and soft purrings, are the most PAWSitive healer I know of. :vibes::alright:

tinydestroyer tinydestroyer - Thanks! :) Yep - you're gonna adore Autumn in the Midwest; don't work so hard on the new house that you miss the chance to take a ride in the countryside, look at the foliage, and have some fresh apple cider.

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 - Very kind of you. The old place turns 180 this Spring, and she's held up pretty well all things considered. I might not be here to see her turn 200, but my veterinarian will - unless Moo Shu Snowshoe dispatches him first.

;)

Here's a pawsitive from my point of view, since I enjoy being outside in cold weather - and for you, tinydestroyer tinydestroyer - of ye of New Orleans and Southern California - this is what comes after Autumn up our way:

There's something about snow. :D Especially the first few falls, when it's magical and whimsical.
The last few falls of a foot or more produces swearing, screaming, yelling as you trip into a drift face first, because you just wanted to go to the woodshop for scraps damnit, and pray no one saw you going butt up into a drift, and isn't so magical anymore. :flail:
But I do like snow. I have to. I live in it a lot.
One year we had a snow drift after a storm that I swear was 8 feet high. (This isn't BS from some old guy saying "I caught this 2 inch long minnow 80 foot bass, and he had rabies and killed two of my fellow fishermen"), but this drift was HUGE. We sent the dogs onto it and they spent about 2 hours in it. They were half adorable and half complete morons. They ran, they dove, the dug holes until nothing stuck out but their butts and raced around the yard, attacking one another in play and digging forts like a bunch of 7 year old boys. It was one of those moments I'll never forget. I kept thinking how simple they were acting, then realized I'd been watching them for over 90 minutes and my nose was frostbit, and who is the simple one now?

That is SO beautiful, 1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine ! Reminds me of the Mojave in winter, when we'd drive on Hwy 138 and see the houses in the distance, framed by the mountains-- lots of conifers and it looked just like a postcard view!

@raysmyheart --I'm glad you liked the Dave Matthews song. It's a deal, if you pray for me, I will pray for you. I'm sending you all my love. PM me anytime.

1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine --I love that Blondie song you posted too. Hope you had a fun walk in the woods today. Miro is just beautiful & I'm glad it was only a scab. Don't forget, you said you were planning on living to be over 100 & we are holding you to it. :)

1 bruce 1 1 bruce 1 --I love corny songs, so if you have any more, feel free...

tinydestroyer tinydestroyer --I never heard that Blondie Dreaming song before, thanks for sharing!

@foxxycat --I absolutely love that cat figurine. Wait until @Shane Kent sees it, he will want to trade you for it. Great pic of Bee. Positive: So all it takes to get you to come around more often is to post dance tunes? Done! I wish I had known that sooner. Here's Footloose by Kenny Loggins:

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 - Wow! The word's grossly overused these days, but these two photos really convey the ethereal beauty of the High Desert in Winter. Thanks for sharing them.

1 bruce 1 1 bruce 1 - I had that snowdrift here after our 4 day, 88 inch snowfall, and it was absolutely disgusting magical! Snow-blowing a path a third of a mile back to the fox feeding station with the walk-behind in -19º temperatures was positively dreadful exhilarating! I always look forward to February because of the cheap airfares to the Islands **** sparkle of freshly fallen **** snow!

;)

Actually, walking through the wood in Winter makes my all time Top Ten list, and here's why:
