:welcomesign: Welcome to TCS! Your new little cat family is adorable :happycat: I LOVE tuxedos and think mama-kitty is too precious for words
The fever coat is a cool looking fur pattern. In my experience, the kitties grow up into the color on their head. I have a semi-feral, Kieka, who had silver stripes on her back just like a skunk! She grew out black fur and for the first 3 years, the underside of her tail was silvery; now she has mostly black fur. Here is a recent thread that reads like a Lifetime movie. Our little hero, Percy, has fever coat:

The two look like they will have black or at least charcoal gray. Thank you for the photos
I think they'll be dark grey. But who knows! Will be interesting anyway :)

:heartshape: So precious! And look at mama kitty smiling :hearthrob::redheartpump:
Did you little queen get spayed?
No not yet. Her belly is shaved because I had to take her to emerg the day the kittens were born. 6 hours after the last came, her belly swelled, pupils dilated and She was panting. They told me to bring them in to make sure another kitten wasn't stuck. Turns out she was eating way too much and her stomach swelled :doh2:

Yikes! I would have though C-section for sure! I have never heard of eating to fast causing those symptoms. I am happy that it was something simple but what a SCARE:eek:

I didn't know it was going to be an issue. Everywhere I read said to keep food and water close. So I did. The vet said their digestion slows a lot during delivery, so the food wasn't going through like it should :thud: It was quite an experience for the cat. first time having kittens, first time being in a house, then a 45 minute drive to the vet at 10pm. lol. Poor girl!

Only one has eyes opened so far. And the little kitten in the middle has not gained much the past 2 days. He was one of the biggest, and now he's the smallest. The other 2 push him out of the way at the "bar". With her shaved belly they have only been using 4 nipples. I tried to get them to the other 2 but they've never used them. He only gained 6g in 2 days.
