1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine , its no more that you deserve LOL a cat that keeps you in line :winkcat:

Yeah, I sent you that one. I must have, --the hummingbird moth I saw earlier this year said adios fairly soon after.

Positive for today, lotsa errands and shopping and suchnot, done....mostly.
Is shopping EVER truly done?
Shopping, like work, is a work in progress, innit? It's like "I just BOUGHT coffee! Where'd it all go?!!" and "I just CLEANED this house! How'd it get so DIRTY so fast?" :sigh: And the PAWSitive parts? Well, the first drives the economy and the second drives US.

1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine plus B.O.B. ...ok, now I feel bad. What if Moo Shu wanted to go shopping- if she's keeping you in line, you won't give her any time off?

Seriously, Moo Shu and BOB are fulfilling their roles of perfect felinity. I however seem to have just about talked myself into a corner of possible (probable?) weirdness LOL
It's @taragirls coffee, I confess.

For purposes of this thread, chores are done, the lawn is green, the Rockies are ahead just now, the cat is content. This works. :cloud9:

With the coffee AND the heat, we're all crazy now aifinkso! Elvis is spraddled by the meditation pillow, looking like he's flying  and with that, I'm going to go find something good for their dinner!

Hello! I'm typing from the south shore of Lake Superior. Toto's Africa (aka, a perfect song) is blasting in the background, and aside from dome mosquito bites and missing my girl I'm pretty content.

I went to the cottage again with the father in-law after work. Cleaning up so I don't kill myself stumbling over stuff while I work this upcoming weekend. Well that and absolutely enjoying being there.

Oh, I really like these figurines Shane Kent Shane Kent .

I have a little cat figurine, purring on my lap right now and looking for more cuddles. Speedy is one of the most affectionate, sweetest cats I have known. Tonight, we both watched a 1940's movie on Youtube, it was the best and Speedy always makes popcorn for the two of us whenever movies are watched.:popcorn:

ON the way home from work, I stopped at the very local farmstand (I can walk from my house easily) and was delighted to see the farm was offering their own peaches, apricots, nectarines and small variety plums in purple and yellow. I decided to get peaches on this trip and they are a taste made in Heaven. Next time, I will get another stone fruit, probably nectarines. Being the only one in the house, I watch to buy only small amounts at a time, just what I need so that I do not buy ahead of what I can keep up with. Anyhow, these are the first local tree fruits I've had this season and they are wonderful!:daisy:

My positive is loving this thread! Cat toss! Lol Cat rolling on yummy vintage carpet ! Goebel cats! Hummingbird moths! Clean house! Chores done! Chores to do! Where’s the coffee? I love all the conversation. The banter back and forth is so friendly and kidding. It makes me smile. Another big positive is that one lost kitten has come home today. A sweet furry baby returned to my arms brings great joy! There is little more positive than the look of a beautiful kitten face! Welcome back little Whistle! The depth of these eyes and the wide white paws are positively melting my heart! May everyone here feel the joy.

My favorite so far is the Tonala Mexican pottery cat.
Oh, that is special! I love that.

Me! Me! I will!
You're a sweetheart, but you're so predictable. If Norachan Norachan had said, "Little Boy just blew up the house; who wants him?" you'd have your hand up and been jumpin' up and down like a frog on a trampoline.
If there was any blowing the house up to be done it would probably have been Hiro. We don't call him Destructor Kitty for nothing. ;) But Hiro is such a love he could raze the house right into the ground and I'd still adore him.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Little Boy is worth his weight in gold if you have any semi feral teenagers you need help socialising or any orphaned kittens that need to be groomed and snuggled. But he eats a lot, thinks it's funny to flip your drinks over and wakes you up by stepping on your throat.

Still interested? Let me see if I can find a box big enough........

R raysmyheart Sounds absolutely wonderful! One of the few PAWSitive things about summer, IMHO, is the fresh fruit. YUM! I'd be going to that stand a lot.
Ah, Norachan Norachan , Little Boy is a mere piker compared to some of the Kittenators I've shared life and love with. My beloved angel Sun, for instance, would steal straws, pens and pencils -- the former right from the glass -- and I would have to excavate. Angel Samuda would steal the sweater right off a chair (the sweater being an old one used as bedding for cats) and I would have to follow him into another room to retrieve it. And angel Rani? She'd play with anything that wasn't nailed down -- the word "wild" was coined with her in mind, I'm sure.
Jcatbird Jcatbird -- What an ADORABLE little Whistle!!! *And yes, we're quite entertaining when we get going, aren't we all?*
Shane Kent Shane Kent -- Wonderful Katzen!
My gardeners did a little damage repair on one of the parched camellias and dug around that flower bed to aerate the soil. The other camellias in front are still looking very shell-shocked, but I do still see a few green leaves on them, so I'm thinking PAWSitive, that somehow they will survive.

Lari Lari , awesome photos! Are they from a spot near you? Very cool photos!

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 , I spotted the kitty napkin holders, I love these sweet treasures!

I stopped at the farmstand and was glad to see Lemon Cucumbers:daisy: again this year and I also purchased a few plums,:tree: Santa Rosa - tiny, cute little tart plums from the owner's orchards and a variety new to me. The Lemon Cucumbers are their own, also, they are round, lemon yellow and mild-tasting with a slightly russeted peel. My favorite cucumber by far!

Spending my day off with Speedy:hearthrob: and wishing a great day to all!

It's 96F outside and that crazy black Panthera is out on the patio. Not only there but in the full sun! He has been out there for hours while everyone else is inside where the AC is running, two of them spread out on the tiles. Although I do wonder about Chamouti, the Maine Coon, who is sacked out on the sofa after having lolled around on the tiles for a while. Maybe he got TOO cold there. In any case, I am home now for the rest of the day after having run to the UPS store to send a small package to my daughter for her grandchild with DVDs suitable for her, watered my garden, picked some green beans and 2 zucchini and some milkweed for a little color, and made a short run to the grocery store (how did I manage to end up with a bill of over $100.00? Oh yes, 3 cartons of Sprite Zero and a bottle of rum will run that up really fast besides some environmentally good flying bug killer and some cheese besides some other stuff I had not planned on.) All in all it was positive outing, I got lots of things done in just under 3 hours with the AC running in the car full blast and carrying an umbrella whenever I got out of the car, yes, even in the garden! Now I just need to water the plants around here.

One word: AUGUST. The PAWSitive part? "It could be worse" as all of us who remember July 6th can attest to. And the even more PAWSitive part? Summer will end. Eventually. It always has. And then, we will do a jubilant happy dance! :yess:

There are some great Hearts here on TCS, and as my Friend Shane Kent Shane Kent remarked a few days ago, there are a few Hearts here that I absolutely Love. You know who you are.

Norachan Norachan - I'd take him any time, but you can't afford to be without him. White Tip - since the day she suddenly ceased being The Wildest Of Them All - has become the peacemaker and the welcoming committee here. She's brought Black Friday and Clawed-Ya along by being their Friend and helping them to adjust to life with A Big Clumsy Human, and was the first to befriend Mirò, and to shadow her while she met the other cats.

You only need one cat like that - a cat who understands the concept of Family and of being a part of something bigger than yourself - to teach the other members of the clowder, and they do learn from one another. If we weren't so 'smart' and so stubborn and so opposed to change, we surely could learn a lot from out cats.

Cats like that are very special. Our angel Calo was first sighted in our yard 2 houses ago, with a little red tabby girl who became our angel Rojita, and a white cat who became Timmy and lived in Canada after going to Best Friends in Utah. Calo was probably not related to either of them -- who were not related to each other -- and IDK their circumstances before we first saw them, but Calo was their guardian and their defender. I called him "the Bullcat" because he was built like a bulldog, with a squared muzzle and an air of quiet, powerful guardianship and love. After beloved Rojita went to the Bridge, he continued to be OUR guardian and I am sure he still is, watching over us.

The view across the back of my land is always beautiful. Today has been dark and rainy but it is nice and cool. A nice positive is that I think the quantity of rain may have drowned half the mosquitos! Lol
More positives! Beautiful kitty pictures here today! Honeybee looks comfy! Little boy and Flynn are precious. Angel Calo does look like an Angel and I bet he still is your guardian. We are all so fortunate to have such great cats come through our lives. I do enjoy hearing the adventures of the kitties. Their personalities shine through the stories about them. So many great names too! If you get a kitty,( I call them peacemakers )who nurtures the others through anything it is an example to us all. I have a some here that help me. Purrman loves everyone. My old girl Smokey handles lonely babies. Lambie tends the group like they are her flock with a frequent lick to any passing kitty head. Dali is my oldest. He tends to rule from above and meows down the rules to all the others. Mackie is the mingler. He passes through all the groups to visit and share a laugh. Bonjure is the baby in that he sees himself that way and likes it. He is willing to show everyone how to play. Lady is a bit prissy and the others must show respect. Lol They all have happy place. They also have all been accepting of the many rescues that have come and gone over the past year. I don’t know how I would have gotten some kitties to adapt without them. No matter how great I think cats are, they are always showing me more of their amazing abilities. The love and laughter is a constant.
Norachan Norachan I am still laughing about cats taming teenagers. I believe!

Yesterday my father in-law showed me where there is another flea market on the way to the cottage:) It is only open on Sunday so I will have to leave the cottage early one Sunday to go there on the way home. Not this Sunday because Monday is a holiday so I won't be leaving the cottage until Monday.

I actually got 5 of the Goebel cats but two are damaged:( The Pawsitive is that I got them from a thrift store auction where you write your bid in a book. I only paid $12 Canadian for all five. Three are in perfect condition which works out to $4 each and if I got them from an antique store or the Internet I would pay far more than $4 Canadian each:)

Lari Lari - I meant to write last night those photos are awesome and Toto's Africa even more awesome. Was late and I was tired so I forgot to mention it. I love that song, can hear it in my head and just imagine being there.

Jcatbird Jcatbird - Cats taming teenagers is funny. Could you imagine the cat conversations. Today I got my teenager to use the toilet but they got scared afterwards so I put them back in their safe room:) They seem rather bored in their safe room so I got them a Sony Playstation.

Jcatbird Jcatbird those are wonderful anecdotes about your beloveds! I wish everyone could get to know how truly wonderful cats are -- how individual their personalities, how beautiful their physical appearances, how unconditionally loyal and loving they are, given the chance.
Shane Kent Shane Kent -- I sense some more spectacular additions to the *ceramic, metal, glass, crystal...* Kent cat furmily! Oh boy!!! :yess:;)

Here's a wonderful group I bought for my mom but never had the chance to give to her.
