Anyone ever wonder why Garfield and Heathcliff have black stripes? I always did.
I think it's because in the daily strips there was no color, so the stripes had to be black, and it would have been too much trouble to change them for the colored Sunday strips.

I flung it out with the scoop. I guess it was having an anxiety attack about going airborne because it flattened itself out on the wall, curled its legs like these type of spiders do when playing dead and stayed there. The box was really messy, no avoiding cleaning it, and I had to do so with it staring at me with all 8 beady eyes. Yeah, once done I did run.

I figured it'd only be a week, since he just needed to look at the MRI. I'm debating whether to call or not.
CALL! A month is long enough.

Hubby was wearing a clean black shirt when we went... needless to say, it wasn't black when we left.
Per my father, a cat lover and very wise man, "The attraction for a cat to an item of clothing is in direct proportion to the contrast of the cat's coat to that item of clothing." Hekitty is a tortie, with very small patches of white. She is an equal-opportunity shedder.

The only thing you can do is abandon the house to it, I'm afraid.
God knows, I would. I once stopped a bus when I ran screaming, "SPIDERSPIDERSPIDER" up the aisle. The nice driver removed the offending arachnid, and didn't even fuss at me.

I just found out Lucifer was cancelled. I'm crushed.:bawling::bawling::bawling:
OH NO! Was it? I'll miss that little devil...a LOT! It is one of my favorite shows! Although I just googled, and Tom Ellis is hinting that the show will be back...possibly picked up by another network? Let's cross our fingers!

I just got a Fed-Ex package, a late Mother's Day gift from my younger son. It's a really cute little hanging air plant terrarium! FINALLY, a house plant that I won't kill! My mom always said that I could kill a plastic philodendron in 5 days flat.

One of the nice things about going to school in Morgantown is that I can explore this area after class. We normally just drive right through. Right now, I'm having lunch at a local diner I didn't know about before.

Twice now, I got home for lunch and found the cats in the attic. The first time, the door was open. So I figured, hey, maybe I didn't latch it very well, or one of the cats leaned on the door handle (it's a lever not a knob) and opened it that way. Today the door was closed. And Onyx ran away from me to the other end of the attic (I did NOT see her double back and go through the attic door) and then strutted through the kitchen a minute later. I looked everywhere for a hole. I feel crazy, lol. Darn cats like to do that to you. Oh, well, lunch is over, I'll see what they're doing when I get home from work!

I am really ready for the weekend. This week has been so hard. My dog ended up passing away at the beginning of the week. I am so lucky to work at a dog kennel where everyone gets it and I was able to be covered for my shift and to trade shifts on the day after.

I am also looking forward to the weekend. As the school year is winding down I get more and more itchy for the Summer to start.

I am so sorry of the passing of your dog this week. That certainly makes for a very hard week.

Don't be too sure. . .I've managed to kill my share of air plants :/. I have a knack or something.
Well, spit. In that case, the poor thing is probably DOOMED!

I could just spend $50 and she would be tickled pink and I would have new readings=god I must be insane.
It's a crazy that we share! I willingly buy the cheapest food I can find (for me, not the Divine Ms. H.) in order to afford books!

I looked everywhere for a hole. I feel crazy, lol. Darn cats like to do that to you.
They do. Sounds like you have a pair of Houdinis!

This week has been so hard. My dog ended up passing away at the beginning of the week.
Again, I am so sorry. My heart with yours.

It has just occurred to me that I am very near to having my living room more or less the way I want it! I just have to order the end tables, which I am doing today, a pair of lamps, and some sort of art for over the love seat. Oh, and get the rocker reupholstered, but I did manage to sew a decent slipcover for it, so that can happen later. Then I have a short list to complete the office. After that, I'll tackle the big job...my bedroom.

Since the box spring is broken, I need to replace the bed. I'm planning on going down from a king to a queen, so I'll also need new bedding, although my new electric blanket will stay, it will just drop further over the edges of the bed, which is not a bad thing on a cold night! I have the drapes and spread I want picked out. I may go ahead with the drapes (and sheers and rod), but the spread will have to wait on the bed. Also, need new bedside tables as well, and two new bookcases. I figure that sometime in the next three years I can get all of that done.

Oh, well...it does keep me busy, off the streets and out of trouble, as does TCS!

A friend's mother actually did kill a plastic plant. She set it over her butane stove and it melted!

I just noticed that it no longer says where you're from under your avatar. Mine always had the date I joined and my location. I wonder why they took that off.
