It's my birthday today! I work night shift and then I will head home and watch movies with all of the rescue kitties cuddled up! Sounds like the recipe for a great day to me!
Also I have been dieting for a month and just weighed myself and I have lost 16lbs! Yay!

Abby goes to the vet every three weeks for a B-12 shot. Yesterday when they brought her back to me the vet tech commented on what a good cat she always is. I know how good she is, but it's always nice to hear it from others. :)

Well, you know what the solution is? Take him to work and then back home every day! Then you'll have him with you all the time! Haha
I just woke up. Trying to decide what I wasn't for breakfast. I love a hot breakfast, but i don't like cooking first thing in the morning. Too bad I'm not rich enough to afford a personal chef. Lol. I might make some breakfast sausages.
Or not. Connor just curled up on my lap so breakfast is just gonna have to wait.

I was feeling pretty emotional today...then Shenka suddenly appeared, walked straight up to my face, and headbutted me repeatedly on the cheek before snuggling into my chest for a purry cuddle :catlove::petcat::happycat::purr:

Spreading some pawsitivity and inspurration around:-
This really resonates with me. Wonderful quote and sentiment :lovecat:

It's another beautiful day and my gardeners have made our yard look great. All Three slept with me last night :goldstar:I love these cool days and longer nights! :dancingblackcat::clapcat::petcat:
Uh, who slept with you last night? :flail:

Today I have been following Chula and Paul around while pointing a camera at their paws. (I'm thinking Photo Contest here). Many years ago, I would have looked at the results and said "what a waste of film".
Sometimes I love digital photography. No more spending the rent money on film processing. :yess: Just hit delete. Delete. Delete. Delete. Delete. Delete. Delete. Delete. Delete. Delete. Delete. Delete. Delete...

My SIL was diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma in 2002. The prognosis for this type is not good. She’s undergone treatment four times since then, with the last ending the beginning of July. She had scans done last week to see how the treatment did and got the results today. It all looks good. :). Follow up in six months and scans again in twelve months. To say she has outlived her original prognosis is an understatement.

Uh, margd margd , I'm not at all particular who I sleep with. As long as the bedpartners are FELINE, they are more than welcome.:sleepycat:

I've gone on an online search for curtains and after looking at about 6 different places, I am convinced they stopped making really nice curtains after I bought mine. Only problem is, mine are kind of shredded because, you know, *cats*
:climbcat: Even so, I wouldn't pay 1c for any of the ones I've seen so far. Guess my tattered ones will have to serve as "shabby chic".

Also called the FTC re: a scam call I've gotten 4 times yesterday, 6 times and counting today. It's a synth claiming to be warning us of "security breach" to our Apple devices and telling us to call another number to speak to a tech or press 2 to hang up. :angrycat: Hopefully they will shut them down and no one will get scammed. That would make me happy. :insertevillaugh:

Those scams are all too common anymore. A few months ago, my grandma got a phone call about viruses on her computer. The recording said they could clean up all the viruses for a low, low price of only $50! Just one problem: my grandma doesn't even own a computer. Somehow they were able to route the call through a local phone number; I guess to make it seem more legit. It's sad that they actually do cheat people out of their hard earned money and many out of these companies are based overseas so not much can be done about them.
Now for the positive: I got the cutest little fox sleeper at Wal Mart tonight! I almost didn't get it because they were out of 0-3 months and by the time he's in 3-6 months, it'll probably be too warm for a fleece sleeper but I went ahead and got the newborn size even though he'll probably outgrow it in a couple of weeks. It wasn't that expensive and it's super cute. I'm getting kinda anxious for him to come out. 9 weeks to go!

I went grocery shopping today before the stores get overly crowded for Thanksgiving. It just so happens it's a very short walk from our local pet store so I couldn't resist going in to see the latest holiday toys. I found an adorable one for my one daughter's dog and a soft fluffy one for Carleton. :hearthrob:

"shabby chic".
Just call it "Tabby Chic" :goldstar:

And I agree with ya on finding curtains. We were living here for over 7 years before I decided on curtains for the kitchen/dining rooms. I needed 4 panels and 1 valance and they can be so expensive! But I do love the ones I finally got.

Today was a good day for us during school time. Yesterday I kind of gave up and told the kids to go play because my son just wasn't cooperating to do his work. Today he did SO MUCH BETTER! We made up what we missed yesterday and they had plenty of time to go play outside! They probably needed that yesterday! But man it was nice to have a few quiet minutes inside to do some cleaning and what not. Plus a less stressful day of school.

I even managed a power nap after they came inside. But when I woke up my bedroom ceiling and ceiling fan were covered in heavy drops of water!! I jumped up and hollered and started looking for where the water was coming from. When I got around the foot of the bed I realized I'd just dreamt it. :paperbag: :gaah::lol:
